I had the same problem…. By any chance do you know if the clothes were still getting washed? As in, was there any detergent left that didn’t go into the drainage area?
@markk36527 күн бұрын
@@paulkolatschko2123 I'm uncertain about that, I don't know if once the detergent goes into the rubber door seal/drain area if it is captive in the machine until the pump ejects the water. Check your detergent drawer for that divider being in the raised position, that's all it took to fix my machine.

Well at least I know these things come out. We don’t have this issue- however the softeners and bleach dispensing doesn’t seem to do anything. Soap is no problem. Was wondering of clogged up. Machine is old. Maybe from 2005- works great. Just small thing that bugs me and didn’t want to break it to pull of out Thanks

I am having the same washing machine problem that you had. I pressed the detergent dispenser down for liquids and I am still seeing water/detergent running towards the front glass door. Do you think this requires a service repair? Thank you
@markk36523 ай бұрын
If it’s water and detergent, that’s quite normal, my issue was raw detergent running through before the cycle even started.
@whitedove40723 ай бұрын
@@markk3652 So your saying if the detergent/water flows towards the rubber rim/door it’s normal. I would think that the detergent is not going inside the washer drum and on the clothes.
@markk36523 ай бұрын
@@whitedove4072 when the machine begins the fill process at the beginning of the wash cycle, it pushes water thru the detergent dispenser and the combined water and detergent flows into the machine thru the channel that is in the top left of the door opening gasket as you stand facing the machine. There should be enough velocity in that flow to have water flowing into the clothes in the drum. There is a portion of that ingress that will wash down the inside of the door glass. My issue was that the raw detergent was flowing down the inside of the door glass without the machine being energized. Gravity was allowing it to flow through because the gate in the detergent drawer was in the wrong position. If the gate in your machine is down for liquid detergent, I’m sure that it’s functioning correctly.
@whitedove40723 ай бұрын
@@markk3652 Thank you so much for clarifying this issue. I am relieved that my washing machine is working just fine. I add a scoop of powdered booster detergent inside the drum along with liquid detergent in the dispenser. Do you think that is okay?

Had the the same issue…IWE’s groaning and grinding in 2WD. All I did was disconnect that vacuum line and capped the line and solenoid…no more IWE issue. Doing so leaves my hubs or IWE’s locked in all the time. Will that cause additional wear/tear on the IWE’s? Yes but not significant enough for concern. I will eventually replace the check valve and solenoid but for the time being this is working.

CAUTION: the new K CLASSIC K50 cannot be easily disassembled. apparently Keurig saw the video too. there seems to be internal snap latches that can't be accessed externally AND there is a small plastic latch that breaks off when you try so if you send it in for warranty they will know you tried to take it apart. we're just going to store it wet as a backup to the superior iCoffee machine. if we need to use it we'll run a couple of tanks of descaler through it. it should be fine.

Mark, I did everything on your video, great video BTW, as it drained out I noticed some white grainy deposit that came out of it, is that normal junk? Also, FYI, my mother in law gave me the machine and noticed it doesn't have a filter. I'm thinking that could be the main issue for the grainy deposit.
@markk36525 жыл бұрын
It's probably a blend of calcium/lime from your tap water, you can run white distilled vinegar thru it to help dissolve any left inside, and help your heating element. Flush with clean water afterwards( distilled water is best). Coffee on!!

Take the tank off. Get some magnets, hold the magnets on the left side of the machine right in the middle. The Add Water will go away. Lift the lid, close it. Ready to Brew will display & flash the 3 cup size lights. Put your finger over the hole where the tank would normally draw new water into the tank. Press the large cup size. Remember NOT to move the magnets otherwise the Add Water will display again.

Mark, I followed you all the way up to the point you directed your viewers to cut the zip tie. I actually did not have to cut this piece at all. In fact, all I did was work it away from the plastic tube connector and pulled the silicone tubing away, leaving the connector on the opposite tube. Then the tube (the one w/o the connector) will drain the tank once you set the Keurig upright. Give it 3-5 minutes. Also you may want to leave it all open for a couple of days to evaporate all the remaining moisture before you re-connect the tubing.

Good video, but there is one thing that baffles me. When attempting to drain the machine I would always just shut it off after making a cup. Just listen for the sputtering sound it makes at the end of the brew like any other coffee machine makes and hit the power button. It's seemed to work well for me since this is my first time doing a deep clean on it and I've owned my machine since Dec 2011 I believe and have used water from both city and well water. I ran both white vinegar and a diluted bleach solution(I ran bleach twice) and hardly anything came out. I even followed this video afterwards since I want mine to air dry. After disconnecting the line only a drop of water came out, but I did lift the machine up to drain the water from the inlet hole first. One last thing, my machine is identical to the one in this video.
@YknotLearnall7 жыл бұрын
Given your video... I'll bet you could modify the system easy enough and add a permanent drain valve on the back. By routing those two lines through the back, low enough to drain. High enough to clear. A couple elbows with a simple quick disconnect or a tee to a drain valve. I'm sure it could be done nicely with a bit of thought to it. Thanks for opening it up and sharing your vid.

It's a shame that you have to go to all this trouble to get that nasty residue water out of the bottom if the kerurig! That company has made billions on these coffee brewers, not only do they get money from the brewers but fro the coffee pods. I'm sure other copies have to pay keuric to sell their pods. Since they have the patent. If they were the first, that is. They need to go back to the drawing board. Making the pots lighter and smaller., but still able to brew many cups of coffe/. Also, be able to drain the pot without unscrewing the bottom , snipping this, twixting that, tying that. That's rediculous !
