Is a yellow flag in Brazil motorsport the same as everywhere else?

Brother you can drive!!! Wow! The way you keep your momentum up and push so hard thrue the corners is too much fun to watch! Thanks for posting this video! I just discovered cyclekart racing yesterday and I'm already hooked. Too cool and brings us back to the roots of motor racing. Going to start building mine as soon as the snow melts so I can get to my steel pile and parts shed. Respect from Canada

The track is too small. Difficult to overtake and not perfect for safety.

Car drives pretty well with only three wheels! What was the failure? Nylock nut on the front wheel finally shook loose?

Hey Carlos, I'm unable to read the speed.
@kartclub2 Жыл бұрын
This barely made it. The higher speeds on the return run were mostly invisible. But at 1m25s, I moved my head slightly forward and the number 42 flashes up on screen. Barely visible, but visible. That is 27 seconds into the 30 second run. Lucky!!

Fantastic driving, especially given the open wheel dangers. The drivers POV definitely appears faster than a spectators POV. Thanks for the video and taking us for the ride. I heard there was a bad crash, so I really hope that everyone walked away without injury. That would make for a bad stain on future events.

Isnt this the race where gas monkey was red flagged? This video shows he was not at fault. He held his line well, but got rear ended in the curve.

Still not understand. Why not call it motor kart? Or just gokart? I thought you suppose to paddle cycle it. Hence, cycle kart.
@kartclub22 жыл бұрын
The cycleKart is a specific kind of "early 20th century" looking (but contemporary) kart, built using motorcycle wheels, and a combo of go-kart parts, motorcycle parts, and parts from whatever works to get to the desired "oldies" look. Motorcycle+kart, hence, cyclekart. To some, ...psycokart. 👍👍

It's a reminder that it's still "open wheel racing" and hitting the wall or bumping another's tires, worse, getting tangled could be very dicey!!
@TheRealThomasPaine17762 жыл бұрын
That was awesome footage! I was concerned that cycle carts would be a little bit too slow, but of course this footage reminds me that 45 mph is extremely fast. I've heard that some can get up to that speed. But with those little tires up front, bumping into the wall coming out of a corner, I could see kart rolling over. Given how much of your torso is sticking out, that could suck big time!!

What kind of restrictions do these things have? And where can i find out more?
@kartclub22 жыл бұрын
It will vary, cyclekart events are independently organized, and car specs, rules, and race format are a bit different at one event from another. This specific video is the Tieton GP. There are lots of spec rules at this event, but the tech inspection is not strict and focuses more on safety rather than a car being too wide, long or heavy. Engine limit is controlled a bit more strictly, max size is 4 cycle 212cc utility style engine, although Stage 1 and 2 mods are ok. I was running a Honda GX200 Stage 1 in this video. Good sources for more info are the Cyclekarts North America page on Facebook and the cyclekartclub.com website.👍👍
@funnerthanbefore49472 жыл бұрын
@@kartclub2 awesome.... U said 4 cylinder... So does that mean i could theoretically use 4-49cc engines hooked inline? As long as the dont exceed 212cc? Also what lengths and widths are these parts usually?
@kartclub22 жыл бұрын
@@funnerthanbefore4947 No, sorry I meant "4 cycle", not "4 cylinder". Its a 1 cylinder utility engine, the type you find in generators, lawn mowers, and things like that. Stock its 6.5 hp, but the mods can shoot that up to 10, 14+ hp. 👍👍

Dirt looks like fun! But driving full bore through a dust cloud is not my idea of fun. Your car looks fairly twitchy - massive understeer at low speed, oversteer at high speed. Excellent driving, keeping it under control!
