@PontiacRaysGarage my first run at track 20.9 seconds stock.. second run with mods and tricks 17.9 seconds I installed a stall converter and a Detroit true track locker shooting for 14.9 seconds hope N ... i have not yet tested the full stall yet 2400 rpm opposed to stock stall track alongwithposi .I have a 2:14 rear gear ⚙️ sux for power and rpm gain quickly but it's fun to see the effects and efforts mods make for time gains

Running a Detroit true track locker differential and thm200c transmission semi built shift manually from first to second and third all the time I don't let me automatic be a automatic transmission as always peace and much respect to you good chatting with you 👍

@PontiacRaysGarage I'm hope N too I believe that I read somewhere it takes around 100 horse power to Gain one second at the track I got no clue how much I gained but I seam to gain every time I usually modify I've also lightness up as much dead weight too aluminum rims over steel oem and removal of ac and other wire nolonger needed perhaps I should invest in a G tech pro data loger I do run a ram air air cleaner to aid ducts and scoops it really was a gain I could feel

@@wtdonovan Thank you very much! Yes, the Lokar pedal and cable are going to work with a Holley throttle bracket. I might make a video aboutbthe setup. Seems to be working fine so far.

This is the only hopped up 301 I've seen, love seeing quirky different stuff out there! How high of rpm are you twisting it? Seems like the bore/stroke would make it wanna rev, but the weaknesses prevent that.

@@kennyspry5189 I don't use Flowmaster mufflers because they are a little heavier, a little more expensive, and they actually don't flow as well as a straight through designed muffler like a glasspack or race magnum bullet muffler.

I'm a Belve' fan :D I just love something about the mid 60's cars. A beige 64' Belvedere, tubbed but otherwise sleeper looking is one of the coolest, meanest looking cars ever :D Your Firebird, those few years where they were so, make some of the best track cars, imo. Beautiful nose, just a classic look that everyone loves.

My cheezy little channel was started to just share my engine stuff with buddies, but I decided to try and expand it a little and film my racing and shows. The bird back then had a 400, then I stroked it to a 461 which I still have, just freshened it up. Stay in touch man!!!

Nope that's OK, no need to be sorry, I love that you are sharing the good times running you're little 60's Pontiac down the strip. I love the sound and your video shares the thrill of a quick trip down the strip. I absolutely LOVE the 60's cars it was such a cool time and the cars had so much style and character, I don't care that a Tesla EV is quicker, it will NEVER have the cool and character that this Pontiac has. Sorry, I'm away from my tools right now but its the cutter for a .530" seal, same with the seals, they are .530", Comp makes a few of them in the material of your choice. I use the more common Viton seals.

One of the most overlooked aspects is most of the 301 cars came with brutal granny gears. You weren't getting it to rev no matter what you did.
