Did it end up getting rid of the dinos on the sand bed?
@kerryagnew61802 ай бұрын
Late to the party and not sure if you monitor this page anymore. But planning on this exact build. Thank you for all the info. Question: Did you ever find the tank to low for viewing? I am debating adding (6x) 3 7/8" legs under to raise it up a bit more.

Is the "dry" side magnet of your Nero 3 under water? I wanna mount my wave maker on the back wall but wasn't sure if the magnet would be OK under water.

IKEA says only a 50lb weight capacity how well do you say it holds the peninsula 25? Thanks
@JoergHH62 Жыл бұрын
You said it, Dude! As for the allowable weight for the base cabinet, I would be extremely suspicious. Especially because - it's from Ikea.🙄 With self-build base cabinets I would always rely on aluminum profiles and clad the outside with plates from the screen printing. That holds and there is also not softened.

He reinforced it with some metal brackets. Other people on youtube have bought the same cabinet and basically constructed a wooden frame inside. Obviously takes up more space, but that's the route I would go. After that the main concern is if the veneer of the shelf top was compromised and water seeped into the particle board. It would certainly collapse in that case as wet particle board basically turns to mush.

@aqualevel88402 жыл бұрын
I siliconed a bent piece of acrylic to the wall and glued the rock to that

You can also use magnets depending on the size of the rock. The water obviously supports a lot of the weight.
