6:35 The electronics store is LASKYS, which apparently was a chain store in England. I was able to enlarge and sharpen one of the price cards on a piece of equipment to get the name. 7:35 NO KIDDIN' 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

The old-time photo at 0:21 showing Elias and Flora Disney captured my interest. Disney was born near my hometown -- Goderich, Ontario -- and for a time he owned a nearby farm. Thanks for showing this wonderful photo. If Disney's slogan is 'Where dreams come true, the slogan for The Time Then could be 'Where dreams come true every single day for lovers of historic photos.'

That;s quite the photo at 7:27 showing prisoners on a treadmill. The Time Then, of course, is a step ahead of all the other KZfaq channels showing historic photos.

7:00 😦In late 2017, the Navy revoked John F. Kennedy's "donation hold" status and designated her for dismantling. There are still several groups, from Florida, Maine and Rhode Island, with the assistance of the USS John F. Kennedy Veteran's Association, hoping to persuade the Navy to reinstate the "donation hold" status, while they pursue the goal of obtaining her as a museum. On 6 October 2021, John F. Kennedy and Kitty Hawk were sold for one cent each to International Shipbreaking Limited. 😢

The photo (0:22) of the Republican National Convention in Chicago is date June 18-22, 1912, but there appears to be snow on the street and sidewalk. If you look hard enough, you can see what looks like snow on the ledges on some of the buildings, as well as on the streetcar 'bumpers." Or do I need to see the eye doctor??
@markmalasics3413
@markmalasics3413 21 сағат бұрын
I agree it APPEARS convincingly to be snow, but I did find this online when I Googled "Does It Snow In Chicago In June?" >>>> Chicago has only recorded snow once in June, a trace amount on June 2, 1910. The snow fell during a thunderstorm that also included rain and hail pellets, and the day's high temperature was 55°F and the low was 43°F. A trace of snow is defined as an amount that's too small to measure, which can happen when temperatures are high or the snow rate is very light.

I'm sure I owned that bike. A Triumph, Speed Twin, chromed knee bars, with a Bathtub rear fender, I had to strip down and re spray its maroon paint. It had a distributor ignition. The front drum brake's cable striped its nipple, leaving me falling foward in a terrirfying race across the one foot of pavement into the wall where it spent nights, under cover. I reemed and soldered every brale cable nipple after that worrying episode. It did 85 mph.

2:50 The only prominent structure still standing in this photo is San Francisco City Hall. The three main streets radiating away from the camera towards City Hall are, L to R, McAllister Street, Fulton Street and Grove Street. The wide street in the middle of the frame running left to right is either Webster Street or Fillmore Street.

5:40 Shot of McDowell Street looking North. The Odd Fellows Hall building, and nearly all of the structures on the right, still stand today. However, ALL the buildings on the left are gone, and the street is much more reminiscent of a ghost town scene now with barely any traffic.
