Thatks so much for a simple,clear guide to the various types of hydrangeas. Most helpful. The one thing you left out was the growing zones for each type, which can lead to great disappointment, but it's great that you clarified the sun needs of the various types.

Im new to growing Annabelle Hydrangeas. My blooms were white but now more green. What about deadheading? I have cut several off for a vase but should I have been deadheading? Do new blooms come throughout the summer? Is there a way to keep them more of a creamy white instead of green. I know I have to prune down in late fall. Im a new Hydragea gardener and need to learn! Thank you!!

Look it up online, talk to your local nursery, read the labels that come with your plants.Joining a garden club is also a great way to get information specific to your area.

Thank you for the video. So helpful! May I ask, what’s the color difference between Royal Raspberry and Rosie Posie? Do the water sources attract mosquitos?

Just a thimble full of water will be enough for mosquitoes lay eggs. I was surprised when I learned that.

Thanks for watching. The difference between the two is more about height than color. They are a very similar hot pink/magenta. The Royal Raspberry is 24-36" High and wide while the Rosie Posie is more compact at 18" High and 24-30" Wide. Standing water will attract mosquitoes so we recommend a fountain or mister or if you have a bird bath, use a solar fountain or a product like a water wiggler that will constantly stir or agitate the water.

what is the mature size of lungwort, and would it reach that the first year? Great collection, thank you!

Most of them get about 12-16 inches tall and about 15-28 inches wide. They stay in a clump. It will likely take until the secondnd or third season to get to full size.
