I really appreciated the honesty from both of them in this podcast. While their split was heartbreaking, the discussion gave me some peace. These are strong individuals who approach significant decisions with deep care and thoughtfulness. The three pivotal moments they shared highlighted just how thoughtfully they handle make-or-break situations. I’m confident their recent decision to part ways was also made with that same care and a clear understanding that it was finally time for the duo to also follow their solos.

After hearing this interview, I’m not surprised they split up. They both had selfish goals and were not willing to prioritize the relationship.

Jackson Wang, I volunteer as tribute to be your platonic life partner. If, by some tragedy, you hit 34 and are still single... No, but in all seriousness... If you were to ever see this comment... You are a beautiful soul, and it reflects in everything I've seen you do. I love your art, I love your... For lack of a better way to say it, vulnerability. There are times where I will look up your interviews just to hear your take on something because I know you'll be honest and hold nothing back, even in carefully choosing your words, a talent I lack, you convey exactly what you mean to. A man like you is so rare, I hope whoever you marry truly recognizes the blessing you are.

"What if she doesn't like your music?". Here's the thing: my first boyfriend, he was fascinating, athletic, educated, handsome. What I didn't know was that his music was heavy metal and I hated that type of music. I never told him this, I just told him that it was new for me and in my environment. Because I wanted to understand him, just as he understood me, I wanted to understand and learn to love his music, so I studied it intensively. Today I also love this kind of music very much. I broke up with him without knowing why, it was instinctive. After a few months we got back together and by now I was enjoying the music with him, we were on the same level. One day he accidentally admitted that he cheated on me with three women in my first relationship. That ended the relationship forever. What I mean to say is that it doesn't matter whether Jackson's girlfriend likes his music or not, or whether he likes her music or not. When they love each other, they will expand their attitudes and their preferences too. Best regards from Germany and good luck Jackson 😉😊👍

Kind of strange to see Michael somewhat ¿proud? of Carissa basically cheating on her boyfriend with him, just to now have him being the one cheated on by her. Obviously it’s different now that they’ve been married this long and have a kid, but it’s a big red flag of both of them to have developed their relationship while she had a boyfriend
@marissapatterson56613 күн бұрын
I don’t think he was cheated on. What it sounds like from the songs he wrote, I think there was negative influence from Carissa’s friends that encouraged her to leave and pursue the things she wanted rather than work on and stay in the marriage. I gathered that from the songs Homewrecker and also the bridge of Remember Us.
@memyselfmartini23286 күн бұрын
@marissapatterson566 agreed... sad to hear about the compromise and good communication, yet she wanted a way out. 😢 from her instagram (and we don't know much at all) looks like she really wanted a new career, and Michael went to Asia for a long holiday on his own. So yeah, things have been going south even in this podcast, it's sad
@krose12 күн бұрын
Yeah there are rumors saying Carissa cheated with a female friend. So now if she has a history of falling for someone else while in a failing relationship, then that gives the rumor a little more substance. Also, it might explain why Michael is taking it especially hard and saying she blindsided him. 💔

@@marissapatterson566 He was cheated on! Carissa's a grown woman and everybody's responsible for their actions.

I'm a big fan. But why do it to this kind of "music"? It reminds me of Jabbawockeez. Yeah, they're certainly talented too, but it's the music that makes the difference. Have you ever wondered why your music video "Fear None" got so many views? Yes, because the music is good with lyrics and some meaning that can be played. But it's just a bunch of sounds...
