What is the advantage for students for Brown being part of the Boston Consortium?
@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
The Boston Consortium provides financial services and risk management across all member universities. In terms of Brown, this benefits the university's endowment, which has grown over recent years to provide more financial benefits for students -- such as need-blind admissions for international students, starting with the Class of 2029.

@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
Congratulations on the acceptance! Be sure to discuss with the university any potential for scholarship opportunities, if you haven't already. There are also other sources (like Fastweb) where you can look for external scholarships you may qualify for, which can lower the COA.

Hi. Do you think I have a shot as an international student with a honors in actuarial sciences plus 6+ year of high quality work experience at insurance companies
@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
Certainly! In addition to work and education experience, a big component of the MBA application is what you hope to accomplish. What are your career goals and how will Booth facilitate those? Happy to chat via email if you have further questions~

CMU history would be a good fit as I see the culture society of the campus.

A successful college experience is being immersed in learning literature and art and being inspired to create a lasting legacy. My grandfather was from Pittsburg. Carnegie believed in a good work ethic. But the freedom to create. I want to inspire people to be brace enough yet humble enough to give their all talents to recreational art and passion. I think art can be a bridge across humanity. To memorialize the best and to calm the spirit. To add beauty and bring light out of darkness like a candle of inspiration. My grandmother worked in the textile mill. Wallwork and Washburn Thomas my mentor family created an original pattern in clothing. My family were the Packard from the automotive company. The stylishness of art goes into the creation of the vehicles too. I live in historical Charleston Sc where I see history happen first hand. I studied at our local tourism and was in hospitality in technical school. I studied special topic in culinary arts religion and food. While in Charleston I grew close to us customs and learned about all the important laws of immigration and border patrol. My family is a white star family. Which is from the titanic. Toms family also a white star family from the Lusitania. Our dream has been to make this a better safer world. .

Thank you for the video!! really helpful. what's the difference between the downtown campus and main campus?
@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
Sure thing, Zach! Hyde Park campus (Harper)-- connected with other parts of the university (Harris School of Public Policy, Law School, etc.) if you'd like to take courses there. There is also more classroom space available, so most classes occur here. Classes are offered M-F, 8-11:30am, 1:30-4:30pm, and 5-8pm. Downtown campus (Gleacher) -- hosts classes during the evening (6-9pm) and weekend (Sat morning + afternoon). Convenient, as most MBA students live downtown, within walking distance.

@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
Hey! McDonough is a fantastic program for undergraduate business. Be sure to do extensive research into the courses and professors of your interest -- this will make your "Why Georgetown" essay much more compelling. Also, map out how you think Georgetown will facilitate your career goals, which you can share in the essay to inform the admissions committee why their university is a top choice for you.

Thank you for this video - I'm thinking of applying to the conducting program at DU as a British person with dual citizenship - it would be great at some point to connect before officially applying to learn more about the school. I'm also a competitive endurance athlete/coach so training at altitude e.g. in the mountain campus would also be incredible. I'm not really sure how I'd go about funding this and I also know the school only has a women's triathlon group, and not cross country/distance running program. Although I could see myself setting one up if I went there...
@YouRiseEducationАй бұрын
Colorado really is a wonderful state for any kind of athletic training -- after all, the US Olympic Training Center is located an hour south, in Colorado Springs! Be sure to check out the university website if you haven't already, to learn more about opportunities for funding, and you can likely connect with the athletic programs to inquire about the prospect of setting up a distance running program~

@YouRiseEducation6 ай бұрын
As of the 2023-2024 cycle, Brown is test-optional, as are many other programs, so you can apply without an ACT or SAT score. It might be a good idea to explore the other test-optional programs out there if the SAT and ACT are not currently an option.

Great video! Where would you see Denison from an academic standpoint compared to other universities? For example compared to Tufts Would love to hear your perspective
@YouRiseEducation6 ай бұрын
They are both fantastic programs! However, as Tufts is a university, it tends to be more research-focused and offers more majors across its many programs of study. Meanwhile, Denison as a liberal arts college focuses more on the teaching side, as seen through the various seminars the college offers.
@snkrs-wrld1236 ай бұрын
@@YouRiseEducation thanks for your answer! Liberal arts and national universities are ranked separately. Where would you see a liberal arts college that is ranked 30 in the liberal arts ranking in the national universities ranking when national universities and liberal universities would be in the same ranking? And where would be a top 10 liberal arts college? Thanks for your help😀

Thank you for sharing your story. College admission season is a hectic and stressful time for not only the student but also the family. I think it helps also, if the family is aware of how to be supportive of their student and understand the importance of often times , multiple tests, making certain deadlines are met and helping the student prepare for college interviews.

Hello, I have a question: Of the 2 options to write an essay submitted to the university, I can choose one of two options or must write two essays? Thanks and when I finished writing, how to submit an essay?
@YouRiseEducation10 ай бұрын
I believe for this year's prompt, you choose one of the two options, not both. You can complete and submit your essays through the Common Application after creating an account on the Common App website.
