No one commenting here seems aware that Norman Gunston (whose real name is Gary McDonald) was the first version of, say, Borat, and he's just pulling Nureyev's leg here. Gunston did the same thing to countless celebrities who thought he was a serious interviewer - as Gunston would ask increasingly ridiculous questions, some of the interviewees would eventually realise what was happening, while some of them didn't (Nureyev is the latter). It's fun to see that some people are still falling for it fifty years later!

This is actually pretty hilarious. The Australian (whom I suspect is famous their) is such an insufferable ham. Nureyev was known to be quite temperamental but he restrains himself to play along for a bit until it all becomes too much. A pity, these two could have been one of the greatest comedy duos of all time.

Многоликий Нуреев!(очень точно ктото сказал про него.он холерик по темпераменту. Весь такой живой подвижный непоседа как ребенок и так же чист)

Bravo Rudolf.., quando e troppo, : e troppo!... non si perde tempo con.. qualsiasi.. cosa...! 😜❤️.. nello stesso tempo, va benissimo "usare" questi giornalisti, che non sono altro che entita che vivono di luce riflessa di coloro che intervistano !

He wasn't a journalist, he was an actor/comedian. I'm pretty sure Rudolf was well aware of that :)

Garry McDonald is the comedian. Norman Gunston is a character. Check out more of his interviews. Interesting to see who plays along and who doesn't. Australian humour is pretty unique. I like his interview with Ali.

Norman Gunston (aka Gary McDonald) is an Australian comedian. The whole point of the interview is his ineptitude as an interviewer. He did a great interview with Hugh Heffner (Playboy) and did the Scottish draw back on Heffner's famous pipe.

Not one of Norman's better interviews Rudolf wasn't enjoying this at all hence Gary's quip about his charisma as he wasn't giving Gary anything to work with.
