Thanks. The ball cock does stick in mine sometimes so I just unstick it easy job. My problem is I have air in the system and after running the hot for a minute it starts doing that blowing out air with water thingy. Also if I run hot in the bathroom sink nothing comes out of bath tap. Loft tank full and got the immersion tank in airing cupboard same level as bathroom. Any clues?

Thanks for this video. I have had problems with my heating working intermittently for the last few months. It will work fine for a few days or maybe a week and then the boiler won’t fire when the call for heat is made. If I turn it all off for a couple of days and then start again it will work again for a while. I assumed it was the boiler at fault nd maybe the PCB but then I noticed the hot water on its own works fine, boiler fires no problem and it works as it should. It only seems to be when CH only is selected. I can hear the boiler clicking on and off trying to start so I think it communicates with the room stat, goes to start and then the mid position actuator doesn’t move as it should. Does this sound the likely issue to you because if it was the brass valve then the hot water wouldn’t work either? Thanks.

I have just moved in to a house with quite old Worcester 24cdi rsf that has got mechanical clock/timer and it's broken... so was wondering if I could have a thermostat instead as there is only 3 wires coming out the boiler PCB into that clock/timer unit that sits in the bottom panel on the boiler...

Spend half hour trying to repressure with the values on the pipes and got nowhere - totally the wrong valves to be messing with. Then I found this video - I couldn't see the "twiddly knobs" on my unit so didn't think to try them, this video set me right and I was back to piping hot water in minutes - THANK YOU

I dunno if you'll see this but a quick question. I get this error every few months, no biggie, but for mine I turn both valves towards me till the pressure goes up, then both away from me to close them. Is.. have I been turning the left one the wrong way and do I currently have it wrong or COULD my boiler be different? It's a baxi platinum combi boiler with the exact same valves you show here. I only ask because doing it the way I do it has worked fine but on the right valve there's little drips of water starting to show up and I'm wondering if maybe I'm the cause from not doing it correctly.
