Are you ready to sell this setup yet? No way I'm making it myself ;)

I've searched for so long and I'm frustrated that I couldn't find what I wanted. I'm an indoor vocal recorder with deep voice and wanted a really good mic that can cancel environmental noise, sometimes there's cars sounds comin in, sometimes the refrigerator, often the pipelines in the apartment, and even airplanes... I really want something that can handle my deep voice with low dB cause I talk a little bit quietly, and cancel environment noise. what do you suggest to me?

Is a dummy battery safe for your camera? I’m getting my fx30 next Monday and I’ve only heard bad things about dummy battery’s. I’ve only seen people say to power it via usbc.

As for me I prefer a regular Cannon lens like 18-250 (300) and something like 24-50.

Thank Caleb for such a helpful video. One question, please. What's the difference between a Colorchecker passport photo version & a Colorchecker passport video version. I already bought the photo version. If I use it for my video shooting, will I run into any issue? Thanks again.

what is the width of the clamp (or rather how big can the iPad be to fit in there?) and why should one bother buying the whole thing if you can just download the app for free anyway and then connect the phone to the camera yourself?

I’ve shot with a 50mm and 28mm prime for the past 10 years I don’t own anything else. 5 years of that was portrait and ballet.

LOL. that thing is rediculous. I can understand having it on set for charging up other batteries but for most applications there is no reason to have something that chunky attached to your rig unless you're just trying to impress people with rig size.

while it looks cool i can't think of any Real use for it, even as a streamer, for the pricetag

how convenient is it for stills?

is there a significant weight savings using an aps-c setup like a Sony fx30 vs something like a Lumix S5iix? Is OM-Olympus still viable? A Sony RX100vii rig seems like a fun micro-rig experiment. I need a rugged micro setup for bikepacking and photo stills. An action4 would do the video job but I feel like it would be cumbersome for any still shots.

ever done a micro rig for a sony rx100 vii?

this looks like something i would do. If I wanted to save weight and lens expense and go with a MFT or APS-c setup, what would you recommend as a camera? I want to use it outdoors in inclement weather to document travels on a recumbent trike. I think 1 inch sensor pro cameras would be a fun niche for mobilty.

I only own 3 lenses. A 50mm Prime F1.8. A 18mm to 55 mm Zoom which came with the camera, Canon 2000D, and a 75mm to 200mm zoom. the 55mm to 75mm gap , is not a problem. A pace or two fixes it at no cost. No plans to buy anything in the near future. and a light camera bag.

This was extremely helpful. I have everything in the cart to order. One quick question. For the 3D prints are they one size fits all for the three different models? I’m reading the blog now and did not see anywhere. Just want to confirm before purchasing. Again, this was very helpful and thank you.

Let me just start by saying that I know nothing about videography and I am trying to learn. There are two scenarios where I would need an external monitor. One is to use it as a bigger screen when I shoot macro so I can check my focus because my failing eyesight sometimes betrays me. The other is that occasionally I would like to shoot some wildlife videos but I don’t want to record in the camera’s sd card so I can save room for photos as well. I have a nikon z6ii which does not allow for an ssd to be connected directly to the camera. So does a product exist out there that can do what I need? Mostly I care about recording to an ssd so that I can separate my photos from video.
