Best comedy TV show in history. I can't believe The BBC allowed this, they certainly wouldn't today. I don't think anybody would. That's why TV is so boring today. Please save us Julia Davis and Baby Cow Productions. We need you.

the editing of this show sucks. It would probably be funny with many great comedians but as it is now they don't cut fast enough making each joke simmer in a pausing wake so it's like a joke gone bad. you don't want to linger in editing. might as well put in sounds of crickets all the way.

the trouble with modern comedies is they write every dialogue like its got to be funny, even when 2 people are just supposedly having a normal conversation. theres no serious moments anymore and it stops the comedy from working for me.some of the greatest sitcoms have all been the ones where the constant gags had some down times imo.

Yes but not with Branston pickle. You want a cheddar or better yet, a red Leicester.

Who was in the right, who was in the wrong? Gavin: Right He knew how much Stacey suffered living in Essex so just wanted to do the best for his marriage. Didnt try to beef with anyone, only tried to resist tension Stacey: Wrong Showed off, didnt do anything to defend anyone else apart from one line Pam: Wrong Gwen went through the same experience but didnt kick up a fuss. Nessa beefing wasn't necessary. Like Stacey said, Nessa had nothing to do with it. Mick: Right Supported his son, deflated tensions where he could. Didnt do anything wrong Smithy: Wrong Selfish, wonders why Gavin didnt tell him. Beefing with Dave wasn't going to achieve anything Nessa: Right Whilst violence shouldnt be supported, Nessa had the absolute right to go for her. Pam asked for it and Nessa didnt need to be a part of it, Pams fault Dave: Right I know you guys hate Dave but he didnt actually do anything wrong. I mean he said to Pete "control your wife" but he cared about Nessa enough to speak up when she was being discriminated against Gwen: Wrong Gwen spoke up at the wrong time, she didnt need to speak. The situation was hard enough without her showing off Bryn: Right Didnt do a lot but he tried to fix the issue where he could, stood for both sides of the argument Pete: Wrong Dawn was out of order and I know he was standing up for her because Dave technically sexualised her, but violence wasnt necessary there Dawn: Wrong Doesn’t know Nessa enough to start throwing accusations, no reason why she had to be a part of it
