I installed RTR8 4.0 Final. It's unbelievably unstable. I can start a campaign fine but I can't go a turn or two without a CTD or freeze in battle or sometime after I hit End Turn button.

Europa Barbarorum II is the best Medieval II Total War mod for me. I love the economy, the battles, the units, historical accuracy, the starting positions of factions, 4 turns per year and the good map (though it could use little tweaking). But I definetly have to give a try to Chivalry 2.

This mod is really good except the battles where is completely unbalanced. Way too op heavy cavalry (2 hitpoints + ap) and AI spams heavy cavalry stacks into campaign which is really no fun to fight against

dear gudea please check out RTH Rome total history mod and Antiquity total war i ve been trying them and are loyal to the vanilla experience but add more flavour to it, specially RTH

Constructively saying, please edit out the "err.... ahm.... eee...." - seemengly hours, or just skip this behaviour, and that'd make the video a lot better.

I havent played it for a while, now I can not even start the game. Overall I have big issues with all versions of Chivalry Remastered that have been introduced in the last 2 years. If I abandon a campaign for a month or two, then when Igo back and try to load a campaign save it crashes or pop up a message that cannot be loaded. That's so annoying... this is my favourite mod but I cannot finnish a single campaign for years even though I started more than a dozen.. that's so many wasted hours and so big dissappointment.

Meh, I honestly don't see what all the big hype is. Sure it's creative use of different eras was nice, but that looks to come with its own problems of Quantity over quality as shown by the Dark Ages mod using almost the same vanilla textures that do not do the era justice combined with the fact it seems to do nothing to try to improve the AI or the annoying money problems which are more frustrating than challenging. I also do not like the map being just vanilla with more settlements shoved in making it all feel way too jampacked and prone to a siege fest that combined with suffering from the same AI and Pathfinding problems of Vanilla do not make it seem fun to play in the long run. SS and especially SSHIP just feel more fun in the gameplay department and the latter is far more historically accurate.

This is one of the best mods of the history...i cannot stop playing it since days...i'll hope they finiished the india region and its gonna be an absolute joy

Think i have played this mod before, it was pretty good. Hope they can get unit cards for everything, kinda off-putting to see half or more of an army be Roman peasants on the unit cards leaving you to guess what the unit is if you aren't familiar with it. Only real complaint, it was a great mod overall from my experience

It would be cool to see a run through of the scripts just to see what a campaign actually looks like

Oh, I remember this one. Always liked the mods that try not only to reskin and extend, but change how the game mechanics feel, kinda like SSHIP does compared to SS with all that feudal recruiting and other stuff. There was also on old mod for RTW, completely forgot which one, it had a cool mechanic where tired troops had huge penalties on morale. And you could win (and lose =)) crazy battles by managing when units get into fight. Sicilian Verspers was definitely one of this kind. Sad it didn't get into polished state of late Med2 mods, but was great fun nonetheless.

Hi Gudea, another good video as I've come to expect from you, I just wanted to ask if you could give me any advice concerning this mod. I've downloaded it successfully, but both in battles and on the campaign map, i get at most 15fps, but more typically average 5-10, rendering the mod basically unplayable. My pc is perfectly modern and I run Stainless Steel, EB2, Tsardoms, SSHIP, Vanilla Beyond etc without any issues whatsoever, happen to have any advice? Ta

It was the best Med2 mod for me as a kid, when I was easily awed by anything. Now I consider Tsardom Total War to be in that place.

I was looking for a mod that focuses on the late campaign, and even started modding SS myself for that purpose lol. TY for this. But Gudea, I still implore you to show off the unit roster of one or two factions in your reviews. For me, getting a feel for the rosters is very important in deciding what mod to play. Are they more generalized? More specialized? Focused on historical accuracy? Are there cool unique units?

I hope someone make submod and kick out America and add India and 1 more faction

It's a very good mod, love the eras system. I just wish they used a map with better borders, like Magyar Mod's, for example.

I loved the concept but they did Serbia dirty. A lackluster roster with no uniformity in the unit models. Sadly this is true for all Medieval 2 mods that add Serbia in. The only mod that did Serbia right was Tsardoms but I wish there was a vanilla like mod that added my country in it. It's a shame :(

medieval 2 sieges absolutely suck, rome 1 is too old and content is lacking compared to new titles and pharao has is just a game that was resurected, it will not receive new content in the future, all we got is what should have been in the begining.

I really hope to see this in the remasterd edition of Barbarian Invasion!

I love Empire and Napoleon for teaching me how musket combat works. I was dummy watching hollywood movies about muskets and thought "wow its so dumb how they just stood in lines and shot at eachother!" but I eventually learned how and why it's effective.

I feel all this mods are great but Mundus Magnus map based mods always fail when it comes to India in my opinion. It is a big region and just one or two factions can easily give that part of the world far more interesting campaigns for eastern Greek and nomad factions.
