This thing is attempting a HI-LO signal, but the only damper closing is the low tone damper.

So why do they turn the sirens off at night but the lights still remain flashing? How are people supposed to know to evacuate if there’s no warning except for the lights? I just don’t understand. Good video btw🤍

Well, people aren’t gonna be out playing in the water at night. Another thing it’s probably so they don’t annoy people trying to sleep.

@@Redbird45 well I understand that too, but since they turn it off at night how are people supposed to hear the water rising? Since the flashing lights are the only thing.

There is a second siren. I belive it is a federal signal model 5t. It is yellow and I have never heard it go off before.

Sucks that exelon had to replace these, same thing happened at oyster creek with their cyclones and banshees but approximately 96% of the sirens were destroyed from hurricane sandy

They don't sound it with the high low dampers anymore nor do they sound it for nearly as long anymore it's usually about 3 full wind ups and then they shut it off
