I'm the same way.. I want LOTS of woods with full grown trees.. That's why i'd rather find a place like Tenn, North Georgia, North Carolina, or somewhere near/in the smoky mountains.. Plus you don't get snowed in like they do in Montana, and other places out west. I LOVE some of the ranches in Colorado, but i'v been there in the winter time, and i don't like that much snow and freezing temps.. It's nice to visit sometimes, but it's also nice to get back home away from it.. lol. I'm a born and raised Floridian, so me and freezing cold weather and snow don't get along.. lol.

I agree with most of what you say. I am much older than I use to be, born and raised in Texas, but I can't handle this heat anymore, I 've had heat exhaustion once. When it gets above 90 I really prefer to stay inside. If it's cold I can dress for it, but when it's scorching you can strip off and still be hot! lol Then again 30 below is not fun either, been there done that! I know this: Every time I go to the timber mountains I don't want to leave. Solitude with peace and quite, with my dogs, is what I'm looking for! Hope you find yours; blessings to you!
