Reminds me of a Jack Hargreaves series and quintessentially English. This would have been mainstream TV in the late 70's early 80's. Outstanding work.

Superbe! If you had been on one of your Superbe's with 4 speed hub and 26" wheels that hill might have been doable. But then again we wouldn't have had Rowan's shadow on the road whilst pushing the bike with the accompaniment of the Stumey click, click ,click, very soothing. 👍👍👍👍👍

Great to see the ESQ I had been wanting to find one for a while and a couple of years ago I did find one in fairly good condition. A sensitive resto later and it is a really comfortable bike. Sadly it will need to go now to make room for other projects.

If he could avoid spouting leftist bile trying to shame people into accepting those who those who want us expired he may get it. oh would he allow ten of them in a room with J unsupervised? And I know how much a certain station sold for! I could say that and more but the "actually quite reasonable" (not far right) aren't as stupid as you like to think The fathers of communism disapprove of you. Go to gulag you naughty entrepreneurs!

Nice find. Merida are Taiwanese, and a large stakeholder in Specialized. I'd happily have that bike - probably stick drop handlebars on it. Those current handlebars would be classed as narrow by modern MTB standards.

The aircraft factory bit reminded me of my old station bike at RAF St. Athan. It was very old, single speed, hand grips at 90⁰ to the front bar, rod brakes, beautifully maintained by the transport section. I've often wondered who made them. Presumably Raleigh or one of the old firms they took over. A great bike indeed!
