My mum has just bought one as she lives in a retirement home where there are a lot of other residents. My mum doesn't have a washing machine in her flat and is unable to walk up and down stairs due to her chronic arthritis. As I said, she bought one recently but isn't too sure how to set up the machine! She's 87! My husband and I are going to see her next month to spend time with her as we live in different cities and sort it out for her. She's bought her soap powder and can't wait to use it. It's going to make a big difference and make life easier for her ❤ thanks for sharing this video as we will be using this video when we do it for her!

Hi Ms Codo, my name is Sabine and I also live in Toronto. I was looking for a solution to save money and avoid having to go to the dry cleaner. I googled "mini washing machine" and I found your video. I placed my order right away. I used it for the first time today and I could not be happier. Thank you so very very much for sharing, this washing machine is going to improve my quality of life and my finances tremendously. Sabine.

I use mine in my bathtub. I use my handheld shower to fill, and draining is a breeze. In addition, I'm don't want a lot of lint going down my drain, so I tie a nylon knee-high stocking on to the end of the drain pipe. Works great.

I have never washed my towels or my sheets in this machine, I use my public laundry room for those the side that spins the clothing is significantly smaller than the wash side, that’s why I don’t wash them in this machine.🌸

Yes, it is a little more work but for sum it’s very helpful. It gives you an option to have your own machine in your home, especially if you’re a renter and you don’t have a washer and dryer in your unit, but I do understand it’s not for everyone.🌸

Isn’t it cheaper and better to use a proper washing machine at least you don’t have to stand over it
@PaulaCodo
@PaulaCodo 26 күн бұрын
You don’t necessarily have to stand over it. I’m only doing this just to demonstrate the machine. There is a little more work involved in this machine, but it does give some people an option that can’t afford a regular size washer, or those who are not allowed to have a washer because they’re renting🌸

Some of us apartment dwellers don't have the option for a "real" washing machine in our homes, and this is the next best thing. Speaking for myself, this has plusses and minuses: I'm very particular about how I do my laundry, and am a tad obsessed with stain removal and keeping my clothes for a long time. This machine gives me a lot of flexibility -- I can let things soak for a very long time, and control how long I want the wash cycle to go on. The plastic tub is rough on fabric, so I put everything (including sheets and towels) into mesh bags. When I first got the machine, I noticed that it was kind of eating through my towels. The mesh bags solve that problem, but it does not add to the fun. It's true that that the manual aspect has the downside that you have to drain and refill to do the rinse cycles. Also, the rinses are much more effective if you spin the items between cycles. So yes, that part is a time consuming drag, especially if you use it for sheets and towels (I usually do those in the laundry room in my building's basement). All in all, though, I'm very glad I have it, and use it a lot.

Even though this was pretty much answered, some of us are in SMALL apartments with no hook-ups for a regular washer. That goes for people in campers, and college dorms as well. There's ALSO a *_>> HUGE <<_* price difference between one of these and a "proper" one and the longevity is pretty close to the same. These can be bought for as little as $90 where a "proper" one starts at OVER $500. Getting a "proper" one REPAIRED cost more than the price of one of these!! My 30lb (which is about 1/2 a full size load in a large regular washer) from Temu was $144 and a FULLY automatic version can be bought for around $180-$220. I'm also SINGLE which would make spending $500 to use 3 times the water, 3 times the electricity, and eat 3 times less often because of the price, pretty silly. The SPIN on these are WAY better than the spin on a "proper" one as well, meaning I can hang mine on the shower rod, and wear it in a few hours (which you AREN'T going to do with a "proper" one). You don't "stand over" it either. You fill it. Put the stuff in it (water/clothes/soap) and set it for how long you want the cycle to run, then go watch t.v. or have a Pina Colada (which you can afford a FEW of with the money you saved). You put the clothes in the spinner for 2 minutes or so and IT'S DONE. NOW, on the OTHER HAND, if you have a LARGE FAMILY, this is NOT for you, but a single/couple it's PERFECT. For ME, retired on S.S. it's about the ONLY thing I can afford!!

Mine lasted RIGHT AT 2 years. Still washes, still drains, but the drain pump is starting to grind when the water is almost gone. Just ordered the 30lb version from Temu for $144 to replace it. Even at 2 years, it's MORE than paid for itself!!

You're supposed to snap that disk INTO the spinner on top of your clothes, not just lay it on top. The purpose is to keep anything from riding up and out of the top of the spinner..
@bluesky7838

That's right. I think it prevents your laundry from riding up along the aide and getting caught between the spinning tub and the wall of the machine.

Q: What is the gadget named for the faucet for the hose to fit. AND Can you wash and dry bed sheets? AND You said you can't wash towels? How about keeping it clean? Do you have to clean it out every time? Lint? Where does the lint go?

To wash and dry my bedsheets and my towels I use the laundry room in my building. Yes to keep the machine clean. I do a cycle of vinegar to clean it out once a week. The lint… there is a lint trap inside the machine. I’ve made an updated video That will address more clearly the questions you have hope this helps you✨

I own one of these machines and use it in the shower/tub of my RV, where I live full-time. I keep the switch on "Drain" while using the spin basket. It extracts quite a bit of water. I'd be worried about extracted water potentially backwashing into the spin basket when spinning ceases. Has that ever been an issue for you?

That's never been an issue for me (I've had one since the pandemic), and you really don't have to put it on Drain. The Drain setting is for the wash tub.
@mikeh8416
@mikeh8416 13 күн бұрын
All the "drain" switch does is open the WASH TUB VALVE (and start the drain pump if you have one) so *IT* can drain. You don't need to use it when spinning (the spinner will start the drain pump). You can actually be filling up for the next load OR WASHING while the spinner is on, just leave the selector in "normal" mode. If you're getting backwash to EITHER tub then your valve is bad (mine just started doing that and I'm buying a new one).

@bluesky7838
@bluesky7838 4 күн бұрын
@@boston1377 I have found that to get rid of the last of the water, I have to elevate the machine and let the hose dangle down. Since I use it in my tub, I perch it on the side of the tub for a moment. I also tilt the machine a little toward the pipe.
