Letos je zdejší počasí více extrémní než dříve, snad to nebude ještě horší. U nás padaly ledové květiny 4 cm velké, nadělaly dolíky na autech. Máte tak příjemně romantickou zahradu s domečkem a dřevníkem:-)!

What a stunning place, really lovely. Those mountains look pretty spectacular on camera, would love to see them in person one day. Can I ask what camera stabiliser/stick/gimbal or whatever equipment you use please as the footage is nice and smooth and we need to get ours to be smoother lol.

Thanks, we use an Akaso Brave 7 camera, very similar to a GoPro just much cheaper ! Stabilisation is built into the software in the camera so no gimbal or anything.

Hi guys, I am so happy you are enjoying my country! I've watched a few videos from you and subscribed to your channel. You have an amazing property, the old house is gorgeous. Regarding the holes in the water: without being an expert on that topic, most likely these are made by the Thracians, thousands of years ago. It looks like a sacred spot, where they have performed their rituals. If you see rocks, water, and manmade niches in the rocks it will be safe to assume this is them. Bulgaria is full of such sites, and the Thracian history is mysterious and captivating. They have left us a rich heritage, a lot yet to be discovered. There is plenty of information on KZfaq (unfortunately most interesting one is only in Bulgarian). If you visit some of the historic sites (museums, tombs, and stone formations), you will not be disappointed, I promise. Here is some very basic info regarding the Thracian culture: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qdidgcuB2cfUqWQ.html , kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fKd3mZpqs-CUYGw.html , kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bbyVpbOCstK5p4k.html The red and white threads is "Martenica" - a unique Bulgarian custom to celebrate the coming of the Spring: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hZ6hfdqZ28vckYk.html The sign on the door states: "Boiler Room" Cheers
@antdicksexcellentadventure76515 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for all this information, glad you are enjoying the videos ! Ant in particular is fascinated by Thracian history. Lovingly painted sign by Ant is on the door to the tavern with our boiler in.

@@antdicksexcellentadventure7651 I love the sign. A minor detail, it is probably not that important, but one tip from me: "котел стая" (kotel stayia) doesn't sound very natural in Bulgarian (like any Google translation). In Bulgarian, "котелно помещение" (kotelno pomeshtenie) will make more sense. Or just: "котелно" (kotelno). Another widespread (more on the slang side) name for that room would be: "Парно" (Parno). I hope to see more videos from you guys soon. Cheers!

Stone roofs in Bg are older than the Turkish tile roofs. So, if you visit Arbanasi village near Veliko Turnovo - some of the historical houses there are stone roofed, dating back to the 17-18th century.

Yes I have been there hiking with groups - as Bulgaria and Greece are not to good friends it is a quite isolated area with few passages over the mountains. There are a lot of black money invested in ski resorts from Sunny Beach at the Black Sea. Was the purpose only to wash black money? Few ski-resorts that really work anyway.

The village of Sarnitsa is very interesting: it's population consists of ethnic Bulgarians, but whose religion is Islam. They are called Pomaks. Sometime in the 15-16th century, the Ottomans got very ambitious and decided to convert the whole Bulgarian population into Islam. They started from the most Southern parts, of course. Some villages gave their lives and died Christian. A couple of villages agreed to convert to Islam and preserved their lives. So, they are ethnic Bulgarians, but Muslims. In the area where you live - high in the Balkan range, and far from the Sultan, they never saw much slaughtering as those people near Turkey.
