Had not thought of welding of a solid piece of steel rod (after shaped better, with additional tool work)-a lot easier then trying to worked with half rotted posts and replacement plastic parts. I may try this in either fall or spring. Having same issues. I have the exact same truck model, crew cab (but no longer factory ;)

100% right, took me a while to understand this, and file the pad ears down so that when things are hot they slide easily, also be sure to lubricated the mating surfaces with caliper grease (silicone based)

So the trans filter does not require a pre-fill unlike the oil filters?

This is what happens when quality standards go out the window and qualify people are not hired for the job 20 years ago you never had to do this I just tried this an hour ago 2009 Hyundai sonata rear pads the pads would not even fit in the bracket without the clips that's how bad they are and unfortunately I don't have a bench grinder to grind down the tabs if I use the file it probably would take me an hour each pad I tried taking the pain off rubbing it on the ground and still wasn't enough still do not fit in the bracket without the clips after taking the paint off

So rewired everything and exactly same thing. Have those cheap aliexpress cables all the same. Have to find the video output first.
