I was on depo for 10 years and I went from 130 to 160 it's horrible praying for you I switched to the arm implant and I still have the weight I wouldn't recommend the depo for any woman

This shot is so detrimental. I too gained 7-10 pounds on this shot. And my hair stopped growing and was becoming extremely weak and thin. The doctors never told me about those side affects and i always told them i was on this form of birth control. Truth be told depo provera has not been studied good enough. I will never have the shot again. Hopefully my hair will grow back and i can lose the weight 😢

Man I never been so seen. I was was thinking like I only 5'6 weighted 96 Pounds in two years I was 220. I am now 270 pounds. After 7 straight years. I quit taking them in April and hope the weight drops. My friend did after as long as me and Ive seen her before and after a year she use to be a plus sized model now she can't because she is smaller.

Idk if I have body dysmorphia but I’ve not had my injection for nearly a month and feel a lot less bloated already. Once I noticed the weight gain over 2 years I lost my appetite and my doctor told me the injection does make you feel extra hungry and I really had constant cravings, more than pregnancy I was sick all 9 months had no cravings. I went from 115lb to 220lbs... most in the same spots you would when pregnant: the hormonal belly & was just told by providers it tricks your body into thinking its pregnant so that makes sense & just shrugged it off.. worse if you use it to stop periods completely like they were actually recommending for high problem periods too... i really hope thry don't recommend stopping periods with it & having long term use anymore for this.. they don't even warn you before hand so I thank you for this video to at least warn others.

I gained a lot of weight after being on depo provera shot. I used to be 116 to 120 lbs now i’m 165 lbs!!!!!!! 😡😡😡 i’m pissed off. I can’t get the weight off. I’m going to quit the shot and birth control completely. I won’t date either because men are horny & can’t keep their hands off of us women. So nope. No love for me. I started the depo shot at 13. I was hhh 5'2 and what 120 lbs? I'm now 17 and 5'5 and 200lbs. I really don't eat much, but I keep gaining. I'm also disabled, but I move as much as possible. I think its the birth control at this point.
