Stop feeding your hamsters baby food because they contain harmful ingredients, such as: 1. Allium Vegetables (Onions, Garlic, Shallots, Chives, Leeks, Scallions, etc.) 2. Chocolate (not just poisonous to dogs and cats, but also hamsters!) 3. Citrus fruits (they contain citric acid, which can irritate hamsters!) 4. Spices (specifically hot peppers because they contain capsaicin) 5. Pepper (see 4 again) 6. Tomatoes 7. Milk ingredients

Victoria, my hamster just died two days an and I’m looking to get a male long-haired Syrian hamster. I want to get a gold one like dipper. My dwarf hamster took about 3 months to discover that the flax seed sprays were edible, then he couldn't get enough of them. He also goes through phases where he loves his wheat sprays, but then he loses interest.

I bought my hamster some sprays and had nothing to do with them, so I took them out

My Bob ignores all his sprays and doesn't eat them at all, apart from his millet (the one you buy for birds). I keep the others though because they look so nice and as you said, they are good for clutter. Enjoyed this one thanks 🙂

It's cost and marketing plus their targets, they are still targeting kids and parents who really don't care. They just want to get the kid something to keep them busy. If they where to make a cage that is appropriate for the hamster that cage would cost hundreds of dollars the the parents would not buy. Most people don't care. It is what it is
