This is one of two crossings on the Norfolk District that I'm aware of that have WCH equipment instead of Safetran/Siemens equipment. Looks more like a CSX crossing than an NS crossing. The other one is at Old Mill Road. I think you might remember I have an overview of both of them when they were replaced. Lots of coal that day! This is a shot I've been wanting for a long time, a train with that sky in the background!

That's the same power that was on the coal train at Yadkin on my first train. The first two are the same units, just a third unit added. Came in on a coal load and ran out on an empty

Yep, this is one of the CSX reroute trains that's detouring over the Norfolk Dwhile the Beltline Bridge is being repaired. 070 is its counterpart. Sometimes 070 is L253's reroute and 071 is L252's reroute, other days it's a unit grain train. In today's case, 071 was a unit grain train.

Yeah the track speed through here is 20 to 25 mph because of the curves at the station, plus since it's single track just north of here, they were slowing down for each other. Those DPUs were really working on 27A!

It's weird because typically 24X is really long. Usually all of the intermodals on that line are. I bet they're typically 7000 to 10000 feet or more. But that day he was very short.

UPDATE: Late on this, but I returned this light and went back to my two Meike MK-Y600A battery powered LEDs. They are much brighter and this ERAY light was falsely advertised, nowhere near the 10000 lumens that they claimed it to be. I'd say it was around 1200-1400. Two of my MK-Y600As together is 7200 which is MUCH brighter and more suited for my needs.
