Hope this wasnt a professional plumber who did this fix. Dont hire him to use garden hose and clamps to fix a galvanized leak or any leak at all.

Thank you for such a useful video! I was about to give up on getting my very similar faucet head apart. Running a screw into that little disc with the slot in order to pull it out worked great for me….a 6-32 screw fit nicely. Hook ‘em horns!

I have this exact same setup and those replacement stems are driving me crazy! A brand new one from HD just kept on leaking. I have smashed my finger, bought 3 of the stems and cussed so much I'd be uncomfortable if I went to heaven now, so no, I won't call a plumber I will go to plumbing supply and get the parts. Thanks

That’s a good idea. I have a 2023 Rav4 and have loaded quite @ bit of weight in the back ( a big Costco trip ) drove home ( 8 hours ) and had no issues. I don’t know if this issue has been addressed but I like your solution except for the steel tubes possibly vibrating? Maybe adding some foam or rubber end caps or even some waterline insulation foam might be a good idea.

I just put 2 pieces of hard foam and cut it to the height of the lip and glued it to the panel, the foam sits on top of the spare tire and works really well.

You sir, are a genius! lol. I really didn't want to take the entire thing apart but after a while, I got a hunch it wasn't the aerator. It turned out to be the second back flow preventor. I used a safety pin and running water to get the sludge out of it. Strange that the first one was clean and working fine. By the way, I think we have the same faucet. Where do you find the back flow preventors? Or do you have a model number to share? Thanks!

If your intake valve sticking open is anything like mine on my GCV160, I could get it unstuck but it would only last for one cutting. Go to start it a week later and the same thing happens. After watching numerous videos about this intake/exhaust valve sticking open problem I decided enough is enough. HERE IS THE PERMANENT FIX: Pull the carburetor and pull the spark plug. If the engine will run, try to get it hot before you do this. Fill the cylinder and fill the intake port full of transmission fluid. Work the valves up and down and leave sit overnight. Work the valves in the morning and pull the rope to get as much fluid out that you can. Install the plug and carburetor. Start it up. It’s going to smoke like hell. Five cuts later, no more stuck open valves.

Thanks for this video! I picked up my RAV4 a couple days ago, and I leant on the panel covering the spare to reach further into the boot and it colapsed in on me. I can't weld but your video gave me a good starting point for ideas. Made a similar contraption to yours today but out of wood, and now it's super solid and I can lean on it/place heavy items in there no problem. I couldn't find any other vids or forum posts talking about this issue which baffles me as I can't imagine we're the only few who have noticed that unsupported section. So thank you!

How about plywood(s) on top of spare tire? I replaced all five tires with 235/65/r17. Width of 235/65/17 tire gives near perfect support.

Thank the ethanol in your fuel for this. It gets old quick and these OHV engines can't handle even slightly stale ethanol blended gas. Ethanol carbons up the intake valve which makes them stick. Use only fresh fuel or non-ethanol fuel only.

This saved me, same thing, stuck intake after not running it for a few months. It was even more stuck than yours, but only till i broke it free. It wasn't just moving slow, it wasn't moving at all. Then POP, came free. Was still very sticky at the top and bottom of travel so I used some Ballistol to lube it up and exercise the valve until it ran smooth. Fired right up after that. Thanks for this.

Yes, my wife did all the work. Basically, you google and go to the global entry website and fill out a bunch of stuff and she said you may have to upload a picture of your passport? It took us 2 weeks before we got notified that we could proceed to the interview phase but Wifey said on the website it takes 4 to 6 months before you can proceed to the interview phase.

They were very nice to us even though they were backed up due to loss of power and storm from the previous day. We were in and out and our applications were approved before we made it back to the south side. Thanks for posting this video!

Your tubspout was leaking because the washer that you fished out for your wall that had been mounted on the bottom of the valve was destroyed. The "o" ring that came in the package, is the replacement "o" ring that seats onto the stem of the valve. Unscrew the valve body from the sten and you will see it there. Since you have that stem out of the wall, you might as well replace that "o" also. After you do that, put some "stem" lube around the "o" ring before you screw the valve body back on. If you don't do this, at some point you will start getting water to leak from the HANDLES. When that happens, it's because those "o" are warn and needs to be replaced.

Finally a clear video showing what you have to do to take apart the spray head. Other videos showed using a 17mm bolt and I couldn't figure out how it would fit. So this showed me that it's as simple as take out the screw and push it through great! Only thing I noticed was when I went to put it back in there was a black trim ring around the top of the sprayer. That was a bit fiddly to get put back. Overall thank you very much for showing me how to take this thing apart I have the exact same model.

This video truly saved me $100 and a lot of aggravation trying to find the proper replacement head. Turns out I have a Delta spray head too. It took me 10 minutes to fix my spray head which wouldn't switch back and forth. I removed a lot of junk from the head and it is working like it was new even without even replacing O-rings. Mine were in good shape. There was a very small plastic part that was a spacer that I didn't see on yours. It fell off after I had taken the screw out and removed the internals. I wasn't sure where it went but the only place was over female screw threads that the screw went into. Thank you for doing this video. Warren

What about the washer that was inside the wall behind stem did u need to replace that and what was it thanks
@dovmerrill804
@dovmerrill804 5 ай бұрын
That “washer” that was inside the wall behind the head of the stem was actually part of the rubber “hat-shaped” seal that pops over the end of the Aquaseal valve stem. This “hat-shaped” rubber seal is what pushes against the “valve seat” to stop the water flow when you turn the valve stem ( during normal use) to turn off the water from this valve ( either hot or cold water, depending on which valve you are working with, or the diverter valve, if you have a three-valve setup instead of two-valve setup (which uses a pop-up diverter in the water spout piece).
