Mohs new ceramic coatings allows you to go in any direction, cross pattern doesn’t matter according to Gyeon. Mohs actually beads when it’s ready to wipe off. Pure and Mohs are close in comparison. Mohs is slicker and Pure might be better on darker cars but no slickness.

Great video. You really went above and beyond that most people won’t do. Since they are not new wheels and have been on your car a while it makes sense. When they are new wheels you probably only need to do a full wash and prep then coating. ⚡️😎

@@TeslaDiyMan colored ppf is significantly more expensive but I’d recommend the Avery Dennison Noir if you’re looking for gloss black. It will be much more affordable than the Stek version.

Very interesting. I'm wondering what a Cybertruck would look like with matte black at the bottom (up to the hipline) and then gloss black above that. It then would look even better if the windows are tinted. So, the trunk top is gloss and the trunk front is matte black. The Tailgate will be matte black. Just wondering if you would have to do something special where the two colours meet like a mirror tape underneath?

Nice design concept! Where one PPF color ends and the next begins, you will have to seam it there. So it would be right against the other and hardly noticeable if it's on a body line and precision cut to fit

@@tesbros I thought about the cutting. With the install one can overlap the two colours at the hipline and then cut through both to ensure the perfect fit.

Really great video. I just installed it on TM3 LR 2020, everything seemed to work great to begin with, except i couldnt open and close the trunk from the app. But Now i Can’t even open the trunk from either the screen or the app. I Can only open and close using the button.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: - Do a soft reset by holding down the steering wheel scroll buttons for 10 seconds. The screen should go black and then reboot. - Redownload the Tesla app. - Make sure all the wiring connections are secure and properly connected. Sometimes a loose connection can cause intermittent issues. Hopefully one of these will help! Usually issues like that are a glitch that can be solved by rebooting or updating something.

Does the technique or ease of removal matter whether the PPF has been on for 10 months or 10 years?

It’ll be harder to remove the longer it’s been on the car. You can use this same technique though. I suggest leaving it out in the sun for a while before starting. If you’re working with 10 year old ppf, and you have access to a steamer, that wouldn’t hurt to use either. Might move things along faster

That's a tough one! Personally, I love working with Avery Dennison films because they are beginner-friendly and perfect for our DIY kits. They offer great quality and are forgiving, making them easy to handle. I also enjoy using STEK films and, to be honest, I was quite impressed with IVIOS in this video. It's hard to choose when there are so many good ones out there and the film technology just keeps getting better and better!

You could try a plastic card like a credit card. To avoid scratching the vinyl, wrap the card in a soft cloth or use a piece of felt. You can get some squeegees off Amazon for pretty cheap though!

Thanks for sharing! I bought satin black pillar delete from you Is 3m 2080 black satin the right matching wrap? They sell pieces in 5 ft x 1 ft. How large of a piece do you think is needed for both mirrors?

Yes, that’s a match! And that should be enough for both mirrors. You could order a couple of those if you want extra in case of errors or for practice, but one should be fine

Can you use this on glass? How many bottles of this would you need to do entire cybertruck including windshield, windows fender trims and tonneau cover?

You can use this on the trims and tonneau cover, but not on the windows/glass. Also, keep in mind that you want to put this over a vinyl or ppf wrapped Cybertruck. for your Panoramic Top - you can get a CLEAR TINT, for example from Llumar they have their AIR80 product which blocks about 86% of the UV Rays (which creates the heat in the car).. so the cabin stay cooler without a shade. - since there are no spares, you should carry something along the lines of "Fix A Flat" so just in case you get a puncture, you can drive it to the nearest shop to get it fixed.
