I've been building my 12ft x 24ft goat barn for about 3 1/3 years by myself . I understand doing parts of projects as you get the supplies and money! Most of the videos I've seen just take a regular door and cut it in half and add extra hinges. Because of the slope of the barn roof, I needed custom-built doors. Thank you for showing how to do custom doors! Not a carpenter, just a 68 yr old retired female science school teacher.

I'm in the process of putting this together and sourcing parts from the suppliers you listed for the viewers. What I am running into is that some of these suppliers can get a little testy when they figure out that you are going to DIY. The product descriptions on some of their websites are not clear or missing key information like dimensions. If you need to call and ask questions, try not to let on that this is DIY and the conversation will go easier.

My flashy doe blessed us with a silver doeling. The flashy girls can give us anything. Her buckling looked just like a buckskin without mom’s white overlay. I was so eager to see what mom gave birth to and was not disappointed 😊 although all my kids are awesome!

What size board did you use at the very top of the roof that connects the two triangular sections? I don’t believe you mentioned that. And how did you make the tiny triangle pieces that went under your 3/12 cut 2x4’s on the roof? You didn’t mention that either. Thank you!

I have a 1 day old baby goat whose mom wouldnt feed because she is so young. She has had the runny stool I told was because of the powdered milk. now all of a sudden her stool looks blood colored. Was she born with the Coccidia ? or could it be something else?
@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead2 ай бұрын
I don’t think so. I would use goats milk or whole cows milk not replacer.

Hi! Just found your channel today, excellent! We started raising goats last year and our two does are going to be first fresheners in July. Question: is mama able to feed them all or do you have to supplement? They look so healthy and wonderful! Also do you dip or spray navels in iodine? Thank you in advance, best wishes and God bless you all!

We live in southern Oklahoma, very wooded area, this was our first year with goats and have lost so many. We taking them to vet. He gave us corid which I found out t as takes the place of thiamine to trick the parasite but it was way too harsh for an already sick kid. He told me to not give her anything but milk not even electrolytes. It's been a very hard year for us. Thank you so much for sharing this.
