I am a Russian Orthodox Christian living in Russia and it is amazing to me to read so many comments from Orthodox foreigners and those who want to know Orthodoxy! It's incredible! Hello, brothers! May the Lord protect you all! In Russia, by the way, I know an American Orthodox priest who serves in the church here and lives here, his name is Joseph Gleason, he runs his website for foreigners, by the way, look on the Internet. Welcome to Orthodox Russia!)

@@alangervasis Not true. 2 Orthodox churches in Prague alone + many many Catholic faithful . . . More interestingly is that many I know who claim to be Athiests actually live their lives closer to the 10 Commandments than those who claim a faithful persuasion. . . .

I’m also Orthodox. What’s truly beautiful is that, unlike the Protestants and Catholic missionaries, we never forced conversion upon anyone. The Orthodox Church led the Native Alaskans into faith of their own free-will, taking them by the hand in friendship and brotherhood.

Hi, thank you for your message. I'm very sorry that the film isn't finished yet. I am planning to go back one more time to complete a decade-long portrayal of a Yupik family. But I completely understand your frustration... the project ended up having a much greater scope than I could have imagined, and there were several events that occurred during shooting that changed the film's direction. If you contributed to the campaign please contact me and I will gladly reimburse you.

Native brother is right, Alaska should be independant not sold to US.. It was a mistake on part of Russian tzar but to be fair, most of the top royals of Russia at the time, were not Russians but offspring of Anglosaxon "royal" families, mixed with some Russian blood.

native alaskans are superior in my opinion to Native Americans. as native alaskans are very very Christian for the most part. and good Christians at that. unfortunately the ones that are not religious tend to fall into alcoholism.

Thank you for sharing I watch your KZfaq video many times and each time I enjoy it more. I, too, am I convert in 2006 to Orthodoxy from Lutheranism I have been lucky enough to hear Father Michael in person once and I have watched several KZfaq videos where he speaks; believe it or not I find KZfaq such a blessing for me to hear and to have shared Orthodox information, Orthodox Chants and discussion of the Icons and Saints. My Grandfather immigrated from Germany in the early 1900s so I'm basically 3rd generation American; what America is wroth on other cultures of Native American is beyond belief and other cultures, also. During World War II US government imprisoned the Japanese from California in concentration camps; white Germans were not put into concentration camps but US government took away their rights to hunt wild game, to farm as they wish and to worship where they wanted. Praise the Lord for Orthodox Alaska and it's Native population who have always believed. Lord grant me such faith. Glory to Jesus Christ!

Hamza Tahir, there are not many aspects of worship, customs, rituals, etc. I appreciate your meaning well, but Jesus is absolutely not a prophet, He is consubstantial with the Father, meaning He and the Father and their Holy Spirits (merged into 1) are all one. The Holy Trinity. Mary gave birth to Jesus the man, for He walked and lived among us. Islam does not believe any of that. Your prophet was a very violent and brutal man, who wrote a very violent and brutal book. Jesus, Son of the Living God was as peaceful as they come, preaching and teaching love and nonviolence is the only way to live. A Muslim has the right to do anything to an infidel, confiscate his property and have his way with their women. Customs??? Orthodoxy does not confine women and girls in clothing, freedom to shop, have a Male doctor and to do as they need. We do not have Sharia Law such mandates stoning women for being raped while freeing the rapist. Neither do we circumcis girls. Etc., etc. No, I beg to differ, we have very little in common with Islam. By doctrine, Orthodoxy and Islam are 180 degrees apart, incompatible with each other.
