I'm late to this video but you said Mullet is known as Bunker on the east coast! Mullet is known as Mullet and Menhaden is known as Bunker here in Long neck Del. I get it there are different slang for many items such as "Minnows" they are Mud minnows but known as Killies or killiefish if your in NJ or Ny a d usually sold by the Pint or Qt in NY or NY and sold here by the dozen! But Mackerel is Mackerel and Bunker is Bunker! I'm just teasing, BTW Awesome Video it is helpful for Beginners and Seasoned Surf Fishermen ❤

Forget about setting it I have the worst nest right now of all of history almost the whole line, help. This is impossible. The whole line is loosened on the spool

I'm gonna go ice fishing later. I get to do this once a year. So I watched this video for a review. Edit:If you are going fishing for food like I am later, use the eyes as bait instead of maggots. I have a better experience with them.

One thing, don't drill your auger into the ice for standing it. Through the day water can seep into the hole and freeze your auger in

got an update for you: the decent perch are all fished out, thanks to poaching. We who live here have seen plenty of them hauling 5-gallon buckets of perch to their cars, and returning to fill them back up. Wardens get called, but by the time they show up, the poachers are long gone. I've personally seen this at least 3 times. I don't fish there anymore.

I would recommend buying more squares to cover the ice....cut holes in a few to surround your holes...it will keep you from having a lake inside your tent in the mornings because of the buddy heater

First season coming up. I feel blessed to live somewhere I have so much outdoor recreation now! And it's not all crowded out this way. Gonna head to my local outfitter this week and get all the basics. They have a big fishing derby up here every january and I wanna compete this year.

I rat nested so bad that I had to learn to take the side plate off the first day it was such a mess... I advised not to buy a bait caster if you have never went fishing... perks of growing up with out someone to teach you these things!

Maybe you can shed some light...I bought a bait caster reel and have watched every video on how to cast without back lash. I ave adjusted the brakes, tension , and everything else. My casts go like nowhere that I want them, and I get wicked back lash every frickin time ...even when I apply pressure and stop with my thumb...WTF?

Try using a heavier weight or lure in the 5/8 oz - 1 oz range. There probably isn't enough weight on the end of the line .
