I'm in The States we only have caskets and urns. Here in the States we have to go to college for a little over 2 years to beva Funeral Director and an Embamer. Also, we have to pass a National Board.😊😊😊😊 I would love to be a Funeral Director in The UK.

Shut up. What god? There is no "god". Doesn't matter if he's honest or not, so shut up. Who are you to question his honesty? You have no right to, so get a life.

I’m American & I’ve got to say, I admire the way funerals & cremations are handled in the UK. When we get past Covid 19 I would like to see some of my local funeral directors take a trip across the pond and learn some of your techniques. I live in a small New England town and over 70% of the population is atleast part English,I think many people would like a traditional English funeral. I think I will suggest the trip to the director that my family uses. I would like my service to be done this way. I am to be buried in my family cemetery and we come from an old English family so it’s appropriate.

New way to cremate is called Cremation by water. Ecofriendly and uses water and salt to break down the body naturally...less of a traumatic fire cremation. Costs about the same as fire cremation but is way less invasive than fire...a must look into...

I’ve been told to pass on this memory to my future family generation about what my uncle told me about his grandads great grandad of that grandad’s dad who died in 1710. The best part about this story is that all of my past family were blood related. My uncle told me that my family have passed on this chain of memories and they wanted to keep it up for as long as they could. Ive been told my family member who went in 1710 was one of the most caring richest men at that time who tried to re home and feed as many stray dogs on the streets of London as he could and every begging child who was out on the cold nights of christmas eve, he took to his place to stay and eat on Christmas Day. He also had a job making uniforms for the soldiers at war which was his own company/business and if he saw a war veteran sitting on the street he would get him clothes and some money to start a new in life. I don’t know if your interested but I wanted to share this as it’s quite rare for family’s to be this way

Maybe you guys can shed some light on something for me.. In the 1950s why would someone in the UK be buried in a lead lined coffin? When my dad died they were to Bury him in his family plot. However they couldn't cz his fathers coffin was lead lined. There was a feeling that they never told the full story about his death. Never ever bonded with my dad's side of the family. Very deep and and told you nothing. There version of his death was Weil's disease.. but my mother always thought there were hiding something.. I was always curious and meant to ask a funeral director.

Good to discuss branding and get clarity on what it is. As you point out Paul, people can mix it up with marketing and I think they can get confused about their brand and their logo.
