did you remove brake fluid cap to let out pressure so you could collapse caliper piston ?

No but you can suck some fluid out with a pump or a Turkey baster first if you would like.

Don’t need to program the key to a new actuator. They will still work if they work now.

Great video. For a right hand drive W163 would the flap actuator be in the same position? There one would need to be working behind the fascia dials. Thanks again for a great video.

I would think so. However I have never seen or worked on a RHD 163 so I can’t be sure.

Likely came off with the intake tube. People keep stressing out about it. I reused mine as I have seen those types of “seals” on every European turbocharged car I’ve Worked on. They come right off and go right back on. Unless it’s obviously torn to pieces, then replace it.

Just wanted to add that if you are a bit of a pro and willing to tackle the project, then the bearing in the tensioner pulley is replaceable and a common size. You'll need a vice and some big socket sizes to push out the bearing and push in a new one. This can be done if the auto-tensioner is still working correctly, but the bearing has a noise. I watched a quick pulley bearing guide video and was able to tackle it without needing to purchase a whole new tensioner.

Is this fix also good to replace turn signal lights that are ticking too fast? Mechanic here said it would require putting car up on Lift and removing both tires on that side to be able to change the turn signal bulbs. I too am a woman and appreciate your clear instruction. I could do that myself. Unfortunately I didn’t and paid.

Please apply Anti-Seize Grease on the threads of all the Spark Plugs and secondly, Please also apply Dilectric Grease inside the Spark Plug Boots on both ends going to the Spark Plugs and the Coil Pack ends as well. All in I appreciate your video very much ! Thanks. ~Rick
