Great tutorial, but I think the sound effects are extremely distracting and unnecessary.

Ben, I’m learning French so that I can understand your French channel. I can tell you are an excellent teacher, even though I don’t understand French that much (Je ne comprend pas le français?😂)

What may be the issue if those settings are done but the ukelele sound doesn't come through at all just vocals. Whether I use laptop mic or external mic, the ukelele doesn't get picked up

- maybe you've got a mic program installed with audio treatlent - some devices like headsets now have programs running even before the sound gets to the computer, - maybe deactivate "remove background noise" and see if it changes something

My concert ukulele arrived today! I have been bouncing around KZfaq this past week trying to find the best teacher and landed here because you explain things well and also have a nice voice! Thank God for the history search or I wouldn't have been able to find you again! Looks like I'm going to need a cheat sheet for notes since you just erased them from the board. lol No matter...I will figure out how to keep up with you! Thanks! :)

Much safer using a capo then risk popping a string tunning up a WHOLE step, especially if you're using a low g.
@BensUkeTutes
@BensUkeTutes Ай бұрын
Yes probably. Depends how the strings feel, I used to travel with a soprano tuned 3 semitones up and it was fine.

OMG!!! I love this so much! I’m 71 and this song was in my “wheel house” a long long time ago. THe Kinks rule I’ve been playing ing Uke for 5 months, this song is a wonderful challenge! Your teaching is spot on. Plus you explained the G/(another cord). I’ve asked many ppl about it the best explanation I’ve received was to just ignore it! Now I know :) New Patreon person here! Thanks!

2:12 Don't thank Nat King Cole, thank the man who wrote the song in 1951. IRVING GORDON (February 14, 1915 - December 1, 1996). Gordon was born in Brooklyn,NY, to a Jewish family, and later lived in Coney Island. He was named Israel Goldener but later changed his name to Irving Gordon. The song's original working title was "Uncomparable,” however, the music publishing company asked Gordon to change it to "Unforgettable". ☺

Very cool showing us this - though it gets you misty eyed thinking of young George. The Beatles were big fans of Joe Brown and George Formby. George was once president of the George Formby Preservation Society. Imagine going to a club meeting and there would be a Beatle!!! He used to carry 2 ukes when he travelled in case anybody wanted to join in. :) A real cute song to learn would be Chinese Laundry Blues. I can already do it but would be interested in your take on it.
