So, this morning, I was in prayer telling God how grateful I was for the blessings He has given me. Then it occurred to me that he gave me the ability to be greatful, so I thanked Him for that also! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

Thank you. I needed this. Feelings aren’t facts. Working on those gateways for my mouth, is it true, necessary, and kind? And not making permanent decisions because of temporary feelings

it's pretty crazy how you're so happy preaching this - and it's wonderful the way you did it. injustice is such a hard topic... your joy puts an exclamation mark on the absolute unfailing righteousness of our God.

Correct!! In over five decades as a believer, that's one i still don't understand. Specially when "someone wants you to agree with them on a secret prayer?" 🤔 Keep up the good work!!

Brother with Few words you've said a mouth full. In my advanced age I've seen it continually. And for the cherry on top, pray for your enemies when they hurt you and speak all sorts of evil against you. God bless you richly with his favor and give more Grace for your task ahead. Amen

May the Lord bless and keep you. I was saved two years ago and currently attend an SBC. We have a fantastic church, but i feel like something is missing. I recently got the baptism of the Holy Spirit and now know why the Evangelical church is losing attendance. They're not acting their faith out and walking in the spirit. I will continue to make disciples and be obedient to Christ. Please pray that I start fires with my brothers and sisters. In he name of Jesus, amen.

I get a lot of job interviews for youth ministry, but this workload is not for me! I love what you’re doing and I am a hard worker. I will just get burned out if I’m not doing what I enjoy. I rather do Sunday school or teach a biblical course at a private school. Thanks for sharing so we can know what to expect!

I remember going to this Merge camp and nearly falling asleep because of how boring and poorly made this was. The only thing that kept waking me up was the laughter of all the hipster kids around me. I also remember the guest pastor they hired was one of "those" pastors. You know what I mean, the one who tries way too hard to be relatable to all the hipster kids, the one who puts way too many relatable experiences in his sermons (I still remember his little "hair in the shower" analogy and his story where he apparently got stuck in a bank in the dead of night during a shootout, or a police exercise, or whatever the living daylights it was). The one who probably molested at least ten students during the camp. I'd be surprised if he didn't molest even a quarter of that amount.

Also why, in short description did you go into youth ministry?? I have been debating this for 4-5 years, it seems god keeps coming back ever slightly to tell me to go into this. Has the same happened to you? Originally in teaching, but not feeling joy or purpose in it.
@BradleyLewisBrown5 жыл бұрын
Several years ago, I did not have a big interest in being a youth minister. However, every time a ministry opportunity was presented to me it was always working with youth. It was as if God was saying, "You might not think this is for you but this is the direction I want you to go." It was not extremely obvious at first but over time I couldn't shake the thought that God was directing me to minister to young people. Go for it, Mike! Sounds as if God is leading you as well. I'm glad I followed God's leading and I know you'll be glad too!

Thanks for sharing this video!! I think this explains this career to me more. What I am really interested in is that you lead bible study at a school! I am not criticizing this, I think it's great. Many of these students so need this. My question is, is it a christian school or public, and how did you go about doing it??
@BradleyLewisBrown5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Mike! This Bible Club is in a public middle school. All school clubs must be student led. This means students have to present their desire for a club to the school leadership. There also has to be a teacher who is willing to sponsor the club, meaning they will allow the students to meet in their class either before or after school and the sponsoring teacher will be in attendance. Our club has a president and vice president and they wrote a letter to me asking me to be a guest speaker in their club. This guest speaker invitation is ongoing. I love that the students actually want to learn more about the Bible and the hope that is found in Jesus!
