I appreciate the video! CAGR tests are helpful, but what investors really need to understand is the hidden Return of Capital (ROC) in high-yield ETFs like YM. Too many people blindly invest, drawn in by the promise of high dividends, without realizing that a significant portion is just their own money being returned. And unfortunately, hardly any KZfaqrs are explaining this properly. I really hope more people catch on and stop falling for these tactics.

People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.

This is my fifth year after retirement. I’ve been following the 4% rule thing I saw on a KZfaq channel, but this isn’t really how hard I expected things to be. After I cashed out a lump sum, I still have about $760k left, but at this rate, and with how the market is (we were putting money away in an index fund), I’m starting to get worried.

Amazingly, you were able to save that much during your active years. Not a lot of people can save that much in a lifetime. But now you are retired and depend on your investment, it’s best you redistribute your capital, so you are not left devastated during a market crash or recovery. To simplify the process, you could allocate your resources with the help of a financial advisor.

First of all the Fed just stated rate cuts are coming - that will benefit TLTW even if it's capped. Secondly if you sold options on SPY you'd have to hold onto the shares until expiration (or buy it back if you can) and if the market tanks fast you're too strapped in to bail quickly.

I am maybe one of the few who did not find it informative in the sense that everybody knows that depending on economic situation sectors perform differently. So the last years was in favor of information technology, but when we are in recession (some say we are already), history has proven that utility will pick up and be the safe heaven, in your comparison it is near the bottom. It is cyclical between most sectors, that is why a head-to-head comparison without looking at bull vs bear market doesn't make sense to me. To optimize you rotate in and out of sectors depending on market sentiment. Interesting would be to see comparison of the sectors in bull periods and separate in bear periods. The last 5 years is overly bullish, giving growth types of sectors the gains, all good performers in bear markets are lost behind, it is logical. People give too much value to backtesting, thinking it will answer their question what is smart to do now so in 5 years I have max returns... Last note: VGT's stocks have grown so much already, you think it can grow again so much next 5 years? P/E ratios are already half way to the moon.
