HI Will. If you are interested in a really loud compact acoustic bass, check out the TurboBass. It is the loudest ABG (so far).

Adjust your plucking technique to get a good sound. Try moving your plucking closer to the bridge too, vice versa and find a tone you like. Your attack is pretty aggressive, don’t kill the strings. Obviously have it set up for that guage. Can always mute the strings with the heel of your hand and pluck with your thumb. Takes a little getting used to but its a good technique to get a nice thud.

Hi, this is the EHX Micropog, but I’ve had very similar results using a Boss OC-5, and also the polyshift modes on the Line 6 HX Stomp since filming this

@@claywalton-hadlock4744 you’re very welcome! If it helps you’d get similarly good results from any of the other EHX Pog line pedals, or from the older Boss OC-3 - plenty of options depending on your budget! Anything which sells itself as a polyphonic octaver should do the trick, the rest of it is just a matter of EQ. The Dry Outputs on the Micropog and OC-5 are also great for separating the low octaves into their own channel for better mixing results :)

@@claywalton-hadlock4744 also worth noting that in this video I’m going through a Bose L1 Compact which is basically a PA system, and a mixer, so there’s loads of room for mixing in low end. I’ve had similarly solid results going through a Roland Cube Street EX and also an AER Alpha, so it definitely works on smaller sound systems!
