I first went on kingda ka in April of this year 2024 and I didn’t twice and I didn’t get the roll back thank god. I rode it again this month and I was lucky again

imagine if it didnt have a swing launch but rolled back all the time and they have to launch you again because it doesn't just go back to the station after rolling back or else it would crash but if it has to go then it would never finish and the riders would be stuck on because it always rolled back no matter what you do

At thorpe park with stelth when you got a roll back you used to get a special t shirt with I got a stelth rollback on it and of course you went again.

It’s actually the exact opposite rollbacks happen when the ride is too light so it doesn’t carry its momentum up the hill. That’s why they typically use water dummies in the morning to test rides!

Sometimes the rollback gets the cart to the very top, other times it does this and barely gets them to the crest
