Some more realistic youtubers don't make videos by project so much, more so as a vlog. For example Madeleine Olivia renovated 2 english historical homes and it looked pretty realistic to me, with trial and error, stalling because of technical issues, etc. I prefer that type of content as someone who is looking for real info, and not just a satisfying start to finish project to watch in one sitting. In any case, thanks for the realness of this video and don't you fret, we've all made some darned stupid decisions because of what others think or some such nonsense. I'd like to say it'll end when you grow older... but in my experience it hasn't really been the case 😂 awareness is the key though 😅

My dad (now 78 years old and bedridden) used to be an expert doing this as a hobby. He was a mechanical engineer and used to do these DIY projects recycling old clothes, bags, plastic containers and even grocery bags! I was in school at that time and I used to laugh at his creation and never appreciated his talent. Now my dad is so old that he can't recognise me due to dementia. I wish I could tell him how much I missed those childhood days and how talented he was at putting his imagination to work. I have a 3 year old kid, when he is a bit older, I would tell/show him what his grandfather created. I would tell him how sorry I am now of my behaviour when I was younger.

People who say this just don't know how much in donated to goodwill and how much goodwill can't sell and goes to trash... Or Africa, which is the worst. Ghana receives 160 TONS of clothing PER DAY. It's insane. It all goes in giant landfills. Upcycling is the best ❤❤
