I just bought 2 wedding dresses for $20 for the applique...dresses and veils were covered in blinged out applique. It took two days to cut out all the applique and the satin material. I have three huge bags from these weddings dresses.

Thank you so much for watching. I like just creating a very basic base and then adding on to it with better laces and trims and embellishments depending upon how I am going to use it. I also think that it is a great way to use up those lace bits that you aren't going to use on anything else as they make a great background.

My hands and freelance tearing of paper are at odds...end up having to use tear rulers...enjoyed seeing how easy your hands achieve the task. Glassine and lace are such a wonderful pairing...love the look!! Happy that you decided to dangle that piece of lace at the bottom...looks great. Amazing how many little pieces went into this element...well done!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I occasionally use tear rulers too but find that I rip paper easier without them as I am just not as coordinated with using the ruler. I do like it though better for a consistent torn edge look. Tearing by hand has a little bit more haphazard look. I think that early on in my card making days as a poor college student I couldn't afford all the fancy tools so I just learned to adapt and if I wanted rough looking paper I just ripped it as I couldn't afford the ruler. Same goes with distressing paper edges I usually use a scissors versus the distressing tool.
