No compacted base gravel, no wire mesh, no re-bar. You guys go straight to bull floating after it is poured, you have to screed the concrete so you know it is flat and even. Customer you say is happy now, give it a year or two and he will not be. This will not last.

I have been looking up videos on concrete and demolition to become more knowledgeable on how the work is done. Both this video and the the demolition work were fantastic! The concrete came out really nice and it looks beautiful. Keep up the hard work man and keep making these videos so people like myself can learn! Maybe even say a thing or two about the finishes so people know why they are being done. Overall awesome video!1

I agree, and customers are happy from my perspective they just see a beautiful work, but they don’t know all the steps into it. This will crack and send very unprofessional.

Do you not see how flat the grade flows down to the street why take unnecessary steps be professional in what you do and everything turns out perfect.
@bstiger64822 ай бұрын
I can not believe these guys did NOT use a screed board to get a flat finish. And did NOT add wire mesh or rebar. Last, but very important, they did NOT cut or tool in any control joints. Just give it a few days, and the cracks will start appearing. PLEASE, Don't hire them, for sure.
@nickswayyy24542 ай бұрын
I clearly said the joints will be cut in after the cure. I just didn’t include in the video. You know you can act like you know what you’re talking about all you want too. The concrete is obviously a flat finish. Rebar and wire mesh doesn’t have to be used for every occasion. If you did this for a living you probably would know that. You plead for us to not get work all you want, but the good Lord provides and people and clients love our work. They don’t complain about cracks in the concrete we pour because there are none. @bstiger6482

@@nickswayyy2454 Bud, words are cheap, as you can always tell a professional by their habits. I did more concrete work in my 45+ years than you will ever see in your life. Ask any real professional, and they will tell you rebar or wire makes a huge difference. For you to say that kind of statement just explains why you have such a poor job. It is easy to '"say"' there are no cracks because you would never admit it.

No wire mesh? How do you keep from cracking? Just curious. Mesh is required where I'm at.
@nickswayyy24542 ай бұрын
All concrete will crack overtime it’s just a fact. Mesh for driveways and walkways are not required for where I’m at. Just know the psi strength you need for what you are using your concrete for. Driveways like this will last a very long time if done the right way. Car ports, garages, trash compactors, Heavy equipment etc. is where reinforcements need to be installed because it has to withstand heavy weight constantly.
@nickhickson13772 ай бұрын
@@nickswayyy2454 may I ask where this is? I've been a contractor for over 30 years and this is some of the worst prep I've seen. Can't believe this it up to code. Edit: no concrete will not crack over time as long as you prep right and saw cut in the right places. I'd like to look up the building standards for this location. I doubt this is sufficient.
