Lord make me a mountain, standing tall for You Strong and free and holy, in everything I do Lord make me a river, of water pure and sweet Lord make me the servant of ev'ryone I meet Lord make me a candle shining with your light Steadfastly unflickering standing for the right Lord make me a fire burning strong for You Lord make me humble in ev'rything I do Lord make me a mountain, strong and tall for you Lord make me a fountain of water clear and new Lord make me a shepherd that I may feed Your sheep Lord make me the servant of ev'ryone I meet

A rarity. I played it a few times. The band had a few difficulties to perform well some passages 😅. Here the soloist struggles a bit with rhythm 😊. Thanks for sharing!

Nobody plays marches like theISB of the laye 50's and 60's. But no one had the great Roland Cobb leading the front row. John Edward.😊

Wonderful memory of Maesteg band playing this lovely piece at the Sunday Salvation meeting in the 1940s. It was played a little faster than the recording. One of the songsters would stand and sing the descant during the piece, it always set the seal on the service. Would love to hear it played again by our bands in these more modern times. This is true worship music. Thank you so much for sharing

Heard this song a few weeks ago. On the web. Stream from Trinidad. 🇹🇹 on music radio 97.1. On Sunday morning. Celia Scott played it. And. I was immediately brought to tears. Such a beautiful song. Reminds me of the Goretti group from Holy Name convent. POS. I live New York. But my heart is and will always be in Trinidad. 🇹🇹.

A new setting to a wonderful old hymn. And beautifully given by both soloist and pianist.

I am so glad to come across this delightful piece. In particular inclusion of the song 'A very happy day' by George Andrews. Long, long ago George was Songster Leader at Reading Central Corps where my Mum & Dad were Bandsman and Songster respectively. I do actually think that George was Dad's Best Man. His wedding gift to Mum & Dad was a picture which I now have and treasure, Unfortunately George was promoted to Glory at quite a young age but his music lives on

I was also raised in the Salvation Army. Best years of my life. I played the Flugel horn in the Salvation Army band and I played this solo. I LOVED IT!! This is beautiful!
