What’s the trick to remove the clip? It’s stuck and I’m sure it’s user error on my part. Do I slide a tiny screw drive in between the little tab and the metal arm? Or do I slide it outside of the tab to depress it closer to the arm?

Cancel that, I couldn’t figure it out so got creative and just shoved the protector against the exhaust tub until it stayed and didn’t have the weight on it, a little messier but better than snapping the clip which I seem to do often

Really great video series on fluid changes! I am stuck mid project and need a whole video on removing the drain plug…. Looks like I’m gonna have to try a torx bit and/or weld a nut on after stripping mine. No idea how or why these things get so seized in there!

How many miles do u go between changes with the green top m1? Also pls consider adding an ez drain on the venza housing.

Hi. Is this proceedure the same for the Lexus LX 450d? It has a 4,5 D-4D diesel engine.

Great vid! Thank you. One thing I like to do is, while the drain plug is off, pour some fresh fluid in the fill hole to help flush out the old oil/residue. I do this with oil changes also. I don't waste a lot, but you'd be surprised at how much darker oil can be removed when doing this. That being said, frequent changes negates the need.

The torque spec for the oil filter cap is not 25 foot pounds. It is 25 Newton meters which = 18 foot pounds.

Thanks for the video. The oil almost looked like it didn't even need to be changed. I am about to do this on My GX 470 that I picked up in December. I am sure the oil won't look nearly as good as yours as it has 160k miles on it.

Great video... Truck looks amazing!!! Is it possible to send info on the lift that you used and tire size? It appears that you have the TRD Rock Warrior rims. Just wondering if you used spacers... Any info would be much appreciated.
