Great tour of the island video, I intend to do something similar in May with the rental car from the airport, i will probably miss out the eastern side though and go north through the centre upto the most northerly point and then back down the west coast to Villa Adler 👍

Please explain your comment that the water is muddy from fishing? Enjoyed your video. We’re looking for a funky but sweet place to experience non touristy Hawaii for a few days before we head to the bigger surfing islands and this place is lovely from your video.

On the south side of island the water is muddy…I think it’s due to being shallow, rocky.

Thanks for showing Villa Adler, i'm staying there in May 2024 and will be my 1st time to that type of accommodation! Great to see the layout of the villas from the entrance, take it the pool and bar were to the right as you enter??

Did you actually walk around the whole of the yumbo? All of the main bars are ground level. It tends to get busy around 10-11. Glad you had a good time overall. This time of year is definitely quieter and you tend to get younger crowd from the spring onwards

Hi mate, we're going at the end of feb into march, so in a few weeks. We're planning to stay in playa del ingles but are now questioning whether its the right choice as it just seems to be filled with an older crowd (we're all around 22/23) is there anywhere youd reccomend in GC that caters to a younger crowd or do you think we'll be okay
@mattsouter39295 ай бұрын
@@Harry-py4fj I hope you don’t mind me answering as I’ve been many times. To be honest you will still get some people around your age and I would definitely stay in playa del ingles. Have you booked the hotel? You tend to get an older crowd January - March being winter here. If you’ve not been before the yumbo bars tend to be busier around 10-11, and the ground floor is busy. Places like Rickys drag bar have a mixed crowd. After 12 it gets busier on the top level where you have Mykonos bar , where there’s a dance floor so more of a mini club , as well as Tubos next door. next door to that is Mantrix club which is busier at the weekends. I would definitely still go, but it’s my understanding there’s a younger crowd spring through summer, as pride is in May . I’ve been in September which was great and again a mixed crowd. But it’s nice to mix with all ages and everyone is always friendly and always a diverse crowd. The yumbo is the main gay area so I would always stay in the area, if it’s the gay scene you are after. I hope that helps! I can also give you some restaurant recommendations if you like 👍

We're all straight so not neccessarily looking for that haha. We'd love to meet some girls, either locals or other tourists but obviously this isnt a dealbreaker or sole purpose of the trip, thanks for your time by the way. Any places or bars you'd recommend with this new information? :P Also, would love to find a place that sells amazing seafood, paella, a place to have a nice morning coffee by the beach and finally a place where we can watch premier league games haha@@mattsouter3929

@@Harry-py4fj Playa del Ingles will be rammed with people of all ages from 9th-19th March as it is carnival, and the 7.5Km (5 mile) long street party on 18th March attracts around 350 thousand mainly young (and increasingly drunk as the night goes on) partygoers from around 4pm in the afternoon - 3am in the morning. We have some video from the previous years carnival and other nightlife, that should give you an idea what to expect

@kurtkrausse5 ай бұрын
Sorry, but I stand by my comment about $40 being very expensive to enter a park! Doubtless, there are parks in the US that are also expensive, and if I had visited any and made a video, I would’ve applied the same comment! As it is, entering the park, and Many people (certainly us) spend that much more money while inside the park, for example, restaurant, souvenirs, etc. All that said, I do not regret having paid $40 for the two of us, and to the park, as a park itself is absolutely gorgeous… Just wish they didn’t charge so much money to enter these places 😊

Hi Kurt’s, Thank you for this great video! I’m excited to travel to Madagascar, but not sure how save it is for female European travellers. What’s your personal opinion on that?
@kurtkrausse6 ай бұрын
Hi Oksana, You must remember this is a Third World country with terrible infrastructure. That said, as in any country, you travel to, you always remain vigilant and watch where you go, and what you do. We saw a number of western females that appeared to be traveling alone. When traveling in Madagascar, you definitely need a driver/guide. I’m not sure I would be comfortable as a female traveling in their public transportation. That said as a male, having seen their public transportation, I wouldn’t want to travel in it anyway! But again, when traveling in Madagascar, you definitely need someone that knows the country and speaks the language of French and Malagasy to get around . with that in mind, you should have no problems traveling, and you should be perfectly safe. Also, the people, as in most countries, are very nice, kind, just very poor. PS, as in any foreign land that you’re not familiar with, you don’t go out alone after dark. Hope that helps! Happy travels.

Thanks for sharing this Kurt, really interesting tour. I love Fez, it's a very special place that I keep going back to. I enjoyed your background music too, on many KZfaq videos the music is way over the top (and I just switch off), but this was lovely, relaxing.
@kurtkrausse6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, Neil… I agree, music on a lot of these, KZfaq videos leaves what to be desired! I try to match up my music too the experience. Honestly, though, as interesting, a fascinating as Fez was, we much preferred, Chefchaouen, and Marrakesh to Fez for different reasons on both. That said, I did enjoy Fez more than RABAT!

Beautiful video and amazing landscapes. I will be doing this route in March. I would like to ask how long did you take to drive from Wallis Bay to sesriem? Did u sleep over on the way there or you did it in one day?
@kurtkrausse6 ай бұрын
The drive from where we departed and swap up month to our hotel at hoodia Desert Lodge in Caesarea, took an entire day of leisurely driving (doing the speed limit for the most part) stopping for a half hour for lunch on the side of the road under shades free, and a few other site worthy places along the way where we may have spent a half hour here and there. We left about 10 in the morning. We got the hood of Desert Lodge about 6 PM at night. It’s an incredibly beautiful drive, with a very diverse landscape, starting off initially through the desert transitioning into a mountainous green region, through canyons, and then back into the desert. Absolutely stunning, you will love it!

Do they have indigenous Bunong, krung , Tubuan Jarai Museum there
@kurtkrausse10 ай бұрын
I saw no indication of either of the 3 peoples you mentioned in the Phnom Penh museum. Perhaps in the Siem Reap museum which is supposed to be much larger, one would find something related to the Bunong peoples as Siem Reap is closer to the highlands; Tubuan Jarai I would think to be found in Phnom Penh as it's much closer to the coast, yet I saw nothing pertaining to them; and the Krung are more of a Thai peoples so again, if they were to be in either those two museums, I suspect perhaps something of their influence would be seen in Siem Reap's museum, but again, I have not yet visited that museum.
