I accepted this PHCV in 2013; which I deeply regret. I can’t move without regular HCV. I in the FSS Program until 2026 and my goal is Homeownership. Please advise. Thank you. So if I have a Section 8 voucher and I receive SSDI of 1180 a month I can buy a house with that voucher?

Just some people in section 8 only pay $25 a month when they have very low-income or none

But how do I put pressure on a Housing Authority that wants to disregard your mailing address change and takes away your city residency from there project-8 which is only one around in this corrupt Thousand Oaks, CA.; first they "selected" us then notice Homeless mail/address change after and said on phone "stay at top of list (On lottery system) but moving appointment W/our paperwork brought out to 3-months!...when Apts open; she lying?

Could a reasonable accommodation be used for your service animal? I have an emotional support animal. However I let her outside to release herself and to run/play in the backyard. My problem is that I don’t trust that she will stay in the backyard while I’m outside with her. She has ran to the front and out into the streets. Once while she was in heat. A stray dog came into my backyard to pop her weasel if that makes sense. I tried running the dog off however it charged after me instead. I have no fence to protect myself or my service animal. I’ve asked for it and was told no. My service animal or myself cannot enjoy the backyard without other strays coming. They don’t have to fence off the entire yard because the neighbor on the left and right of me has dogs and a fence. Invitation Homes refused to just fence off each side of the home. There are woods behind the house. But the only problem I have with the woods are deers, a wild hog and foxes 🦊. The foxes only come out at night and my emotional service animal 🦮 is absolutely afraid to go outside to release. I think she senses them. I’ve seen a wild hog once or twice. Deers constantly are in my backyard woods and only cross into the yard early morning and late nights. Does the 504 applies to my situation?

Hi. I had my Dr certify accommodations for extra bedroom and section 8 approved this in 2020 or 2021. I'm doing my annual certification and the new housing specialist is requesting me have my Dr complete this form again. Nothing in my "need for additional room" has changed. She said she's updating files..? How long is my request for accommodations due to disability good for? I received SSDI and section 8. Thank you.

I worked in the mental health system for many years. It didn't happen often, but one of the things that would happen is that gypsies would fake a mental illness to get services. They don't educate the women so many don't read and write. I'm guessing there will be many getting multiple checks and services with the social security breech.

Let me start with i had a voucher from the Housing Authority here in Shreveport Louisiana and i was sent to every point of view u talked about so it was such a terrible situation that i put myself through i literally just got fed up with it so i took a letter into the office and it said thank u and from now on GOD will be my Housing authority simple as that. So Hud is managed by housing management people and if you rent from one housing development that's managed by them and try to go to another one and the first place did not renew your lease are you allowed to lease from this company again but at a different facility

hi jay i first i want to say i love watching you…. my situation is kind of complicated. I live in a trailer on my father‘s property that I rent for him. about 10 minutes ago he’s asked me to move out because his health is getting worse and worse and he wants me to get my own place before he passes. I signed up for project housing only when I was able to get on, but he’s now going to evict me since it’s been so long and I’m only I’m on disability. I only get SSI. There’s no way I can make it on my own. So I need help. I’ve tried every angle and ever anybody and everybody I called and still I’ve reached no help. so i think i’m going to get a hold of you for counseling

I was retaliatory illegally evicted in the ice storm here in Texas. Small Texas town I have no family and they have destroyed me put me in the hands of all the criminals and I have suffered immensely. I was put in a house next to a criminal who tried to sex trafficking on me. $8,000 more in price. The chief of police has been slandering me. So bad he has resigned and left the scene. I've been trying to get the authorities to help me and I've been struggling non-stop trying to follow the chain of command. This is Texas I have been viciously blocked at every turn I make now I'm in a house with black mold. Cat urine so strong in the bedroom I can't sleep in there. Human feces on the wall in the bathroom that I can't get cleaned off I've been cleaning for a year. I'm so financially trapped and I had seniors. I was held hostage by a convict who did financially exploit me I've had several felonies committed on me and I can't get the authority in this town to help me and I'm trapp. And I'm facing homeless again for the second time please can you advise me. Thanks you for heads up on the housing trend! From my experience in Texas and the housing authority I go through, the last 8 years a trend I've seen is that when it's time for inspection they like to fail people first inspection every time it's due (I'm clean and the landlord keeps up the property well). The inspector nit picks things like: there's dust on your ceiling fan lights, not current design on oven range screen. The worst one was they were about to fail me a 3rd time with the reason...there's too much a gap around the breaker switches and the metal frame.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I asked for the head inspector to come out...said nothings wrong don't know why they want to fail it. Each time I have inspection honestly feel panicked. I have been on the program for 15 years (I'm on SSDI), and feel like there is a trend to throw people off this way to clear up more vouchers. My plan...After what we all have been through the last 4 years, I don't trust anything government, and saving up to buy shuttle bus and live on the road.

In Santa Clara County, California and San Jose South Bay Area, there's a lottery system. Supposedly, there's an agency to go through if you're permanently disabled, and they can refer you to the Housing Authority as an alternative to waiting 10 plus years on the waiting/ interest list. I cannot find this specific agency. I've been to so many and they all only help people who are homeless and have been for many months to years. They have flyers that say things like "homeless prevention", but the only people they are offering to help are those who have been issued an eviction notice. I'm in good standing with a BMR that I just got into, and I have a part-time job that fits my doctor's orders. Sadly, I'm still just a little short each month (I'm short about $650 from $1850 total monthly). I spend every dime on rent, basic bills, gas, etc. I'm connected to all the basic organizations SSI, SNAP, CARE. If there's more, please enlighten me. Please let me know what agency I need to go to that will give the referral to the Santa Clara County Housing Authority. Thank you.

For me, consulting is my next/first move. Local law enforcement, and government failed me so badly I've been broken, broke and at risk of, or homeless for a decade. I've seen enough of Jay's recommended material, to know mastery would take years. "The System," murdered the bright fearless person I was. I finally have $50 a week. Show me a better investment than shelter, and I'll show you Maslow. It took me too long to realize the free power donated by this channel and I can't wait to call.
