Thanks a lot for the video! How do you balance your weight between back foot and front foot during the movement ?
@nouros2913 сағат бұрын
Thanks a lot for the video! There's something I don't quite understand about weight balance, as you said 1. When we start the toss our weight is on the back foot 2. When we finish the toss (ball released) we go down and our weight is on the front foot However what happens with our weight during the rest of the movement ? Our weight isn't supposed to go back to our back foot before hitting ?

Hey Simon, are there players today who play more flat than spin ,because my playing style and forehand are more focused on attacking and being aggressive from behind the baseline.
@Leo-nc3yxКүн бұрын
Just my opinion,for recreational players below 5.0,going after heavy topspin doesn’t matter that much. Because players at that level can hardly produce a pro-level of spin,not to say Rafa-like topspin. To clarify,I’m not saying we shouldn’t add topspin to our game,it helps with consistency and control for sure, but we shouldn’t be obsessed with hitting every shot with immense spin like the pros. Take me for instance,I used to play against a guy who hit topspin loop shot all the time,when we were about 3.5~4.0. He spin more than other players I’ve play with at similar level,however it never had the same effect he’s looking for. I could still crush the ball with flatter,more aggressive ground strokes ,also the reason why I could beat him 8~9 out of 10 even when we’re at a similar level.
@TopTennisTrainingOfficialКүн бұрын
@fox - it doesn’t matter what your main game style is, it’s good to be able to hit aggressive topspin for various reasons. That doesn’t you have to make it your usual game, it just means you’re adding another dimension for when you need it. If your game style is an aggressive baseliner who hits flat, keep doing that but work on adding an extra layer to become a more complete player
@TopTennisTrainingOfficialКүн бұрын
@leo - it sounds like that player was hitting sort of guided topspin shots but not really accelerating properly or producing a penetrating shot as I describe in this lesson at the end

Not sure about 30 GS,but he definitely would've won more Wimbledon and AO titles,the ATP Finals at least once,not suffer in every indoor tournaments and not be beaten by Djokovic in every fast surfaces that they played against each other after 2013,this is very clear cause you can see that Djokovic and Federer have way better serves and every player on the tour serve big,and having more fast courts or hard court players out there are no excuse. So yeah Nadal could've had a even better career if he didn't neglected his serve,the interesting thing is that he's paying a price today,he can't rely on his defence anymore because of his age,the key for Federer success in 2017 was because he sharpen his every weapon by being more aggressive,the serve is so important to not spend too much time on every point and that's something that Nadal doesn't have,for a 38 years old player,the serve HAVE to be the most important thing.

As roger Federer once said, hitting balls from a feed is pointless
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial3 күн бұрын
That’s what you took from this video? Instead of looking at what I was demonstrating, you’re critiquing the way that many pro players actually train. Hand fed balls are like breakfast in Spain. They’ve had some success in tennis no? What about Pato Alvarez. Coach to 50 or so top 100 players. Never hit a ball in a single session. Hand and drop fed every single ball but they’d hit 3000 balls a session with focus on technique and footwork. Roger even has videos of his coach drop feeding balls. So
