I have been using this documentary in my world history classes for years. I am grateful that it changed to a youtube format, because I purchased the DVD years ago, but it is hard to show DVDs anymore, as schools don't always have DVD drives available. My one wish is that the subtitles could get fixed (or maybe English translated closed captions) so that they Spanish translations aren't cut off. But I am so glad to teach their story and have this resource.

Great job Cecilia, beautifully portrayed talent, very human and thank God no politics. Lovely diverse women who come together in music. Would love to see it just in original Spanish if there exists such a version. The English voice overs were a bit annoying at times, sorry, maybe just my gringo prejudice.

What a beautiful story about a family of FEMALE HEROES. This tale is so sad to all women as mothers, sisters, and wives. The MARIBAL "maripositas" are permanently etched into the international global conscience. Thank you for presenting a story of Caribbean heroism to the public. The contribution of this family will live on forever in the memories of all.....

Hi there, It has been three years since we put all our efforts, time and savings into the development of Meyko. It is a playful companion for asthmatic children, a cute and smart device that helps them take their treatments every day. It makes it more acceptable, more fun. Meyko also allows to keep track of medication intakes and complications through a mobile application. The treatment record sharing tool makes it easier for the doctor to do a good follow-up. We are trying to improve the lives of these families. We have worked with hundreds of families and the best children hospitals in France to design the best companion we could. We did small clinical trials that showed stunning results, we're looking forward to do a bigger. More info here : www.hellomeyko.com/adopt Have a nice day !

This is the first episode in a beautiful series about Latino life in a US city. I came upon these because of an interest in Latino language and culture. The English subtitles and conversational dialog make this series an ideal language learning aid. Thank you very much for this fun and revealing series!
