A classic example of unessisary government overreach. "But what about some anecdotal example of a kid getting hurt or land being ruined?" Parenting. The answer to every problem the state wants to insert itself is basic common sense parenting. Nearly everyone goes through driver training and the registration requirements of public roads...this does not prevent accidents or driving under the influence. Everything the government does to spare the public from life's perils equates to beurocratic hurdles and fees which do very little.

If a person's motorbike is registered for highway use, does the law still require an OHV registration?

What website do you go to for non resident license plate?

The very fact that we have to register these, ATVs, and dirt bikes is proof positive that we live in an authoritarian police state, even in Idaho.

I really like the way Idaho is set up for UTYV's in town. I just hope people respect what we have and don't ruin what we have. Also it seems that law enforcement needs to be more informed as we get a lot of you can't do this on the street.

UTVs over 50 inches in width are generally only allowed on forest roads, dirt roads, Jeep trails, etc. The Feds are going with 50 inch trail standards for a couple of reasons. One is to keep them as "trails" and not let them turn into full-width roads. There has been some indication recently that they may be considering going with a 60 inch width because it is easier to get equipment down a trail that is 60 inches wide for doing maintenance, grading, etc.

i Wish Illinois would do this. Illinois (the state) think they are so broke! well if they would make trails and do things like this. the state would bring in so much money.
