Stupendo pezzo, stupenda esecuzione! Questo pezzo mi è molto caro, l'ho studiato al flauto dolce ma al cornetto o al violino barocco è un'altra cosa, e poi la tua bravura non può essere paragonata alla mia. Mi fa specie che questo organo seicentesco abbia una diapason moderno (La 440hz), almeno così mi sembra; è il diapason originale di questo organo o è stato modificato in seguito? Grazie e complimenti a tutti e due.

Gentile Giorgio, grazie mille per le sue belle parole e per aver visualizzato il nostro ultimo lavoro. Per quel che riguarda l'organo in oggetto, anche noi siamo rimasti sorpresi nell'apprendere che il diapason è stato in effetti modificato nel tempo. Ma contrariamente a quello che ci si aspetta l'intonazione originaria è stata in realtà alzata (si ipotizza che in origine dovesse essere attorno ai 430 o forse anche più basso). Il fatto ci ha stupiti assai, in quanto si associa generalmente a strumenti di questa area geografica e periodo storico un diapason in genere alto. Se interessa l'argomento, consigliamo di contattare il M° Alberto Chiari il quale sta attualmente studiando in modo serio gli organi bresciani e si sta addentrando nella complicata questione dei diapason dei suddetti. In ogni caso a Brescia a quanto pare era pratica comune (anche in epoche piuttosto recenti) alzare il diapason degli organi intervenendo in vari modi (primo fra tutti accorciando la lunghezza delle canne). Le motivazioni, a detta del M° Chiari, erano principalmente relative al suono che in questo modo diventava più corposo e pieno.

This way I have enough string to quickly re-tune my cornetto. During a performance the tendency (due mainly to lip fatigue) is to go sharp, so IMHO it's good to have a fast solution to be able to play in tune

Oh I see, that's interesting. Why not thinner thread covering more of the length like a historical oboe reed? Or is it just too difficult to get it to consistently hold a steady depth?@@SeicentoStravagante

With a thicker string it's easier and faster. Think that it happens in the middle of a performance: with a thinner string you need much more time to get the right amount of string. @@JHouse4

I know just how fiendishly difficult it is to play the cornetto at this level, because I have tried to learn it. Great admiration for all the effort and practice this must have taken.

Le cornet à bouquin est un magnifique instrument, plus doux et nuancé que la trompette/cornet. Ces 2 instruments (cornet+orgue) vont très bien ensemble et sont très bien joués.

This piece, like many of you, connects me to myself. And the memories of ancient Italy do not let up. The "black" organ, built for the Jesuits, in the order's church. And all Her history, of the loss of population in the plagues of the Black Death. The suffering of the people, and the decline of Italy. Makes me very sad. The decline of our religion also saddens me with no comforter, except of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

strumento dimenticato per secoli, il cornetto non ha nulla da invidiare al più blasonato violino. Pare anzi che soprattutto a Venezia fosse lo strumento principe, prima che la peste del Seicento decimasse completamente i suoi più grandi virtuosi, venendo poi rimpiazzato dal più semplice violino. Per me tutt'oggi, rappresenta uno degli strumenti dal timbro più bello, molto simile a quello della voce umana
