@JMonOutdoorsАй бұрын
It has a 150 on it… max would be 175 for this boat. But, the 150, to me, has plenty of power for this boat… I came from a 14 foot, 10 HP tiller haha. I can get 48-49 mph when by myself. 46 mph when I have passengers.

This thing.... I used it once for like 10 minutes and when I needed it most I was trying to light the pilot for a half hour. Redundancy is key. I'll be attaching a long screw driver, alcohol wipes and q tips on the side for this B.S. Also another heater. 😅

Trust me, I know the feeling… also disclaimer, I think they might just struggle to work when it gets certain temp below zero… I try to keep in truck on way to lake so it doesn’t get too cold to light if it’s really freezing out. First of all, thanks for the watch and comment. As for Jason, he no longer works for them or with them and is coming out with his own lineup of shuttles and poles (HD Innovations) is his new company name. He said to me that the earliest his new stuff would come out would be July, so we will see. I have seen pics of the new stuff and it looks to be of great quality. As for the older Summit stuff, sorry I can’t help you with that and have heard from others of the older shuttle being a mess and not fun to deal with haha. Maybe cut your losses and get newer shuttle or wait for Jason’s new stuff 😊. Hopefully you get something figured out tho 👍🏼

I have been using an actual transom saver mounted on trailer to lower unit 39 years on same boat . New boat 2023 Alumacraft Voyageur has a Shorelander custom trailer with a Shorelander transom saver . Dealer saying you may damage lower by using what was designed by factory is very questionable at best . Hydraulic saver is the correct term for what you have . It does nothing to take the load off transom . Nice rig you have .

This video is the best, thanks! Exactly what I needed. I’ve been debating for the last month on either a lund impact or a fsx. I’ve heard from people that the fit and finish just isn’t comparable to Lund. Did you look into any lunds when buying? And what is your thought?
@JMonOutdoorsАй бұрын
You’re welcome… thanks for compliment and for watching, I appreciate it! As for your questions, I think they are very comparable but have the exact same issues if any arise… so why spend that much more just for the name?! The buddy that rigged my battery and fuse box stuff, said he now likes the Alumacrafts better in comparison to the impact XS, thinks they are better built and value. I personally think they are very similar and like I said in the vid, bought my lithium batteries from Amped and my trolling motor… and then some… for the cost difference of Lund. I didn’t want to be forced to get Mercury either, wanted a Yamaha… also in comparison to Lund… you can get up to 175 HP for Alumacraft if you want and only to 150 for the Lund. Hope I answered what you wanted, but I love this stuff, so if you have more, don’t hesitate to ask. 👍🏼

I think the savings I’m looking at between the two is upwards of 8 grand with Alumacraft rebates right now. I got one more stupid question, if you don’t mind. Can you fit your tackle backed upright in a row in your drawers under the console? I noticed yours were stacked.

Here is the perfect solution to the problem: 1. Turn off the knob, 2. Remove the propane bottle, 3. With thumb and fingers extended and joined place your left hand under the unit and with the right hand grab the handle, 4. Take the unit outdoors to expose it to the elements, 5. Open the garbage can and toss it in aggressively (be sure not to harm any children or animals and not harm the ozone or whales).
