I loved the conclusion of lana luthor story i loved that she put herself first ok before someone says lex forced lana to leave clarke he didn't he presented them with a choice and they made it lana made the right choice by absorbing the meteor rock and she when she decided to not have a relationship with clarke in the end i loved her ending as well

Great interview i really loved lex and lana as couple they were better suited for each other then lana and clarke until the writers ruin them i would've loved to see thrm become villains together like they should've ended the relationship with lana and clarke a long time ago like it made no sense why people like lana and clarke and why they felt lana was better with clarke when he constantly lies to her and he would flip to make her fault when she had a problem with thier relationship and he would judge her i really wish they gave lana and lex a real chance at love i also lived that she became apart of the luthor family tree even though she was forced into it I like that people started calling her Mrs luthor or lana luthor even when chole went to get information about something she was like they won't tell me anything because I'm not a luthor team lex and lana always

I would love if at some point I or someone else could ask Kristin how she personally would have wrote a story where Clark and Lana ended up together. I know she said she liked the way the Lana character ended, but she's also been quoted saying that her story could have had a different ending if the events of Smallville played out differently and the ending in her mind was only the best given circumstances at hand and where the directors wanted to take it since she hated love triangles. What if Clark and Lana got married in season 5 and Lex didn't kill her where would it had went? Or alternatively what if the series played out as it did until season 7 but brainiac never attacked Lana and put her in a coma and her and Clark continued to build their relationship, restore trust in one another, and ultimately marry in season 8. These are interesting things to ponder because I feel like Smallville could have gone down that path but due to writer stupidity at times in season 5 and Christin needing time off to work on Chun Li in the later half of season 7, that these types of ideas just never had a chance to emerge. Not saying they ever would have manifested fully mind you, they still seemed hell bent on eventually having Clark end up with Lois, but this is 20 years later, Christin is an accomplished producer and writer now, and at the very least I'd love to hear her talk about and make a rough script for such a thing if she'd be up to it. and who knows, with multiverses now, as well as time travel already being established in Smallville mythos, maybe we could even see such a story arc come to life if in nothing else an animated format, but even if not, just hearing her take on it at a time she could put several thoughtful hours into it would be more than enough to warm my heart and make my day as a fan.

I find it so fascinating that she came full circle, basically a mildly introverted teen that loved nature and wanted her space, to becoming a huge TV star to now getting back to her roots and returning to a place of harmony and peace but with the added benefit of great friendships forged over the years. Christin you're an inspiration to many and an amazing person, I wish you well in your journey forward, and can't wait to hear you voice act Lana on the animated series Tom and Michael are cooking up if they ever finally get it green lit and into production.

Hello again, I finished reading it online as well. I might be crazy and far-fetched saying this, but I believe Indiana Jones found something from the Cthulhu Mythos. Something that shouldn't even be found by humans. The reason is because this "Tomb of the Gods" could actually be the mysterious location in Lovecraft's novel "At the Mountains of Madness" where the Old Ones reside known as the Plateau of Leng or perhaps even the lost city of R'lyeh, where the dreaded Cthulhu is imprisoned. Also, since this location is in a giant meteor crater, I believe whatever fell from the sky back then was NOT from our home! The enemy could've been playing with a great power that cannot be controlled or revealed. It could've literally ended everything! O_o

I just finished reading The Shrine of the Sea Devil. My theory on what the MacGuffin here was is that the tomb contains priceless treasures created by the Polynesians for worship, like a vault, and that like what Indy mentioned, the tomb was flooded somehow. I also believe this place may hold the answer to the mystery of the Moai statues of Easter Island due to the giant pearl statues resembling them, probably tying in the fact that the Moai are related to the gods. As for the Sea Devil beast, I theorise the beast is Te Wheke-a-Muturangi, a legendary creature in Pacific mythology, especially New Zealand, that was said to guard the waters of Aotearoa that was killed in a battle by a Native sailor. So maybe that's why the Sea Devil attacked Indy and the ship. It was probably guarding the Shrine. As a budding pilot as well, I'm honored to have Amelia Earhart rescue one of my heroes from fiction!

Mr D’Onofrio, you are amazing. I’ve watched many of your films, and also conversations and you are so different from your characters. But, I see some of Vincent in each role! But- when you’re such a bad guy it really is confusing. You can be so bad and actually scary. How do you get that much in the character, and how do you come out of it? I’m fascinated with how you inhabit the role. Please answer this, I have so many questions! Thank you.

So true, without knowing her Bday or her ever saying I'd never guess anything over 34. Sometimes with the right lighting and angle and make up on she even pulls off a 30 to 31ish look and almost resembles her self in the first season of beauty and the beast when the light hits her just right, it's really spectacular.

Thank you so much for this interview. I've been following the NZR comeback on their Facebook page that their daughter started and it's so wonderful to see such an incredible response that they've been getting. To think about such a great show that has basically been dormant in the culture for many years finally getting a resurgence is refreshing. This is definitely a show I would recommend anyone with kids to check out. Of course many of us that did grow up on this show have grandkids now and I'm sure they'd prefer their them watching NZR instead of a lot of the crazy stuff that's on today. They really broke it down to the golden rule which is what is really missing more than anything these days it seems. Thanks again and I look forward to anything new they might produce as well as future con appearances.

What a fantastic guest. Like you, he wrote the soundtrack to my childhood. There's just not a kid who grew up in the 70s who is unfamiliar with his music whether they know he wrote it or not. I've enjoyed so many of his songs by other artists like The Monkees, The Carpenters, and Three Dog Night that I learned years later were written by him. Then of course his unmistakable voice on songs from movies like The Muppet Movie and Bugsy Malone. Though I was a bit too young at the time I did go back and watch The Phantom of the Paradise. What a fantastic job he did in that! I have to mention one of my favorites though that you didn't touch on. My late wife and I enjoyed so many Made-for-TV movies growing up in the 70s and one of our favorites was "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble" and quite honestly beyond the stars John Travolta, Robert Reed, and Glynnis O'Connor as well as the unusual story, the thing that made that movie so memorable throughout the decades was Paul's song at the end, "What Would They Say". We never forgot it.

Agreed! I don't know how she does it but that women doesn't look a day over 32, heck just 5 years ago I wouldn't have been able to tell her apart from her season 8 self in Smallville, her ability to maintain beauty well into middle age is without question.

@@hoppeanofasgard1365 Yes, Kristin has a baby face..though she has played on purpose more mature roles as a mother, or lawyer and cop in the last 15 years. Yet that glimpse of teen Lana always seem to appear in her photos. She can look even younger…but it seems Kristin is happy to age gracefully…which is very rare in entertainment. She is blessed with rare beauty that last for decades, and she definitely has high IQ in health and exercise habits, since childhood. Kristin’s younger sister is stunning as well, and a bit taller, though unlike Kristin, she has actually became a mother and stayed out of show business.
