It’s very ancient technology that works great. Awesome video for people to learn how not to rely on the grid. Clay is everywhere and they used it efficiently and even to cook, the best nan breads baked on the inside of clay ovens and if you want to make a big one for pizza make one with thick clay walls and enjoy. Awesome video.

Why is the set of pots even necessary? If the flame is going in the car, it will heat the air and the air will spread out. Btus produced go into the car, no matter what material they go through.

How come nobody thinks it’s foolish to have a metal container with accelerant essentially in an oven. Would you throw a chaffing dish in your oven at 350 degrees? This is non sensical and unsafe.

Why do dummies that make these videos not prepare a script beforehand so that they don’t make a video with commentary that makes them sound simple? Typical American dopes!

The paint can with holes looks like a barbecue coal starter. I'll try one of those . My question is why so many pots. And do you really need to seal off the hole on the bottom of the pot. . Well back to the drawing board for me 😆😁. Thanks for your input. Also I'm planning to use a tiki torch filled with either diesel or kerosene. Just trying to keep my green house from freezing 👍

Try drilling about 6 holes in the paint can lid instead of the flour pot. A wood stove gives off major major heat because it's metal. It's the best conductor of heat. As the flame passes by the metal, it heats the metal lid, it will heat much faster and higher in temperature.

Good demo, may want to rethink using alcohol as it burns clear and may be a safety hazard if it escapes the burner.

THIS DOESNT APPLY TO YOU since youre outside but usually when ppl make these flower pot heaters they will show the temp of the heat but they dont show the temp of the room!!! I wonder if a small fan behind the pot or heater would help distribute the heat better!! because some ppl say they dont heat up the room.

personally I would never dare to have a gas powered heating sorce like that running over night, and would go with candles instead, but as long as you're awake this seems like a great heater. probably going to make a simple one myself just to heat up my garrage since I am despirate for a rent free place of my own.

I have a question though I’m trying to figure this out. And this is a true question because it’s kind of confusing me. What is the benefit of the flower pots on top of the candles? It just seems to me that the candles per putting out a certain amount of heat so just leaving it uncovered you’d get the same amount of heat. I know I’m probably missing something that’s why I’m asking. In my mind it just seems like you’d get more heat if you left the candle uncovered

In the early 1960’s my parents had a VW bug. We live in Michigan. The heaters didnt work on the VW Bug back then. It was so dang cold in the winter. My parents took a coffee can added a roll of toilet paper and a bottle of alcohol. After the toilet paper was soaked with alcohol they lit it. It would warm the car. Roll the window down about an inch of course. I was trying to remember how they put it out when we got where we were going. I know they would have covered it to snuff it out

Good work, man. I like it! One thing that occurred to me however, is that if you use a can of fuel (like sterno) you might want to see how hot the can is getting being enclosed in that hi-temp environment. I don't know if the cans' seams could begin to leak at high temps or even boil or explode. Just a thought. Those products are meant to burn at the top, but I don't know if it's safe or not to virtually put the can in an oven. I realize it's still in the prototype stage, so I thought I'd throw this out there as fuel for thought.

To put flame out on the Sterno can, you have to put the lid on it.

if yr small rm say a bathroom has no window is this safe to burn or do you need fresh air source. what heat sources can you burn with out having to have fresh air source?

I'm think that if the little flower pot would not be in the can, you would get a better air flow, thus more heat also.

I do not know why I am getting these retarded ass videos. Of people making dangerous explosive bullshit. How do you live with your self, SelfRelianceLab? I think youtube just wants me to report these stupid videos. 1. You are always better off with a open flame. To disburse heat. 2. If you are using paraffin wax. You are making paraffin fumes. Which will blow up if you are not being safe. 3. You are spreading miss information. I hope one day one of your victims will sue you. I know you know this becaue you did not take a reading of the objects around the pot. Which Shows, you know you are being dishonest!!!!

Hey, man, thanks for this demonstration. Just one tip: The only countries IN THE WORLD that officially use Fahrenheit as a unit for measuring temperature are the United States, the Liberia and the Cayman Islands. So, if you don't want to produce only for those countries, showing the conversion of your measurements on the screen would help more people than not. Thanks for considering.

Is that a sterno can as the heat source? My friend it burns at a higher temp than a candle flame. If I put a nuclear reactor in a flower pot it will generate more heat! Check your design with a 2-3 candles and check the heat temp? Good Vid!
@jakehvazdamusic

it works better primarily bc of what you are burning. Wax doesn't burn as hot as whatever is in that can. I am sure a candle is less expensive, though
