@@aquatarsier5132 it doesn't have a name. This is a mod for half-life 2. So you can't download the machine for Garry's mod if that is what you're trying to do. You're not the first to ask this question. People just seem to assume this is Garry's Mod and that this is an add-on you can download.

It's a map part of a modpack for Half-Life 2. It's in the description. (edit) nevermind, the link has been removed and the website has been shut down. But the mod was called "A Hero Once More"

How is Elite a copy from X4 when X4 was released four years later than Elite? Besides the release date, both games are completely different besides both being in space. There aren't even those kinds of damage to stations in X4. So, what's your point?

The onboard vessel AI (C.O.V.A.S) simulates soundwaves from any micro movement it can pick up in order to make space travel bearable and keep the pilot sane.

as others in the comments have said, the work on the sounds are impecable, it was one thing that drew me to the game, the sounds felt so ominous when going up to destroyed stations or meeting the thargoids and they can be so soothing when visiting cool stars or planets, the weapons sounds are amazing too.

I fully agree on this. A lot of love went into the sound design in Elite Dangerous. Good sound design makes a huge impact on games.

Cool! I did this mission in the early Elite game on my old Amiga 500. Didnt have the same feel of emergency though. You had to skim the local sun for fuel Before you landed.

I never actually fixed the glitch when I played this years ago, but I did notice that if I didn't move after starting the elevator, I was the one taking damage rather than the scientists. I just tanked the damage and the elevator managed to reach the bottom before anyone died. Then it was just a matter of getting health back.
