What we have now with social media and these trends ARE the effects of past. The reality tv era from the 2000s inspires a lot of this. People warned entertainment about what they're doing to the next generation. Now we are the generation. Its normal to constantly film our lives like its reality tv whether or not it is embarrassing, funny, or lame cause that's what they/we know. Those tv shows showed drama not peace. Relationships & dependency not self independence

And lets not forget how in the 90s they were standing and camping in lines to be disrespectfully picked in MTV music videos. That translated into Druski’s whole career plus the 1 man vs 50women thing. People really are doing what they know or saw. To change it representation really has to change! Thank God for Lauyrn Hills, Nia Long in movies, and so on cause that different perspective on life helps many.

I just feel around tbh 😅 if I feel loose hair and it’s near a certain loc, I just give it a lite twirl (similar to a retwist but only twisting once) and interlock it so it all stays together. I hope this makes sense. After a while… you get the hang of it 💆🏾♀️

We need to figure out how to balance the information age and prior to this age..... Some of the parents now are afraid to tell their children NO..... We need to go back to parenting... We also should focus on self Love... being okay to be comfortable alone. I see so many 20ish year Olds that jumps from relationship to relationship and not know what to do if not in one.

Agreed! I do think a majority of the people in their 20s who haven’t had children yet are catching onto the weird stuff that is going on, so they could be what changes the trajectory for the better at least. But there are a bunch of kids out here raised by folks who are trying to be their kids friends too much or just raised by the internet that we gotta keep an eye on 😭

I found that just gel works cause it isn’t greasy and doesn’t melt when I get hot like edge control does…just plain old eco styler gel and I have 4C edges

I have just under 180!!! My mom started them though so I don’t know how long it took 😅 thankfully I didn’t have to do it myself.

Agreed!!! Wash hair in sink, apply hot treatment, let it sit, wash it out in the shower, add conditioner, wash it out, rosemary water rinse, BOOM!
